jimmystartup
For Christmas, I want to buy my bird a new chain and sprockets. Where is a good place to buy a DID chain online?

bartonmd
Or from Partmonster... I've ordered from him... I think 5 times now... REALLY good guy to work with... and pretty innexpensive too! By far the best prices I found on the stuff I bought (except he can't get lower than dtmaonline for tires, but then again, it ended up a wash price-wise with the tax and extra shipping DTMA charges and I didn't have to wait a MONTH on them from Louie!) Prices here: http://www.partmonster.com/xxpartspage.htm Mike
demon
While you're resprocketing it, gear that bitch down. -1 in front is good, but added to a +1 in back is better

bartonmd
no, -1 up front is about the same as +3 out back Mike
demon
-1 in front and +1 in the rear allows you to keep the stock chain length and the adjuster will be in the correct position. The -1 in front is like adding 3 in the back, so, -1 in front and +1 in back is like going +4 in the back. Just a little lower than the -1 in front. This is what I run and I love it. I cant find any steel ones higher than 45...tried a hardened alloy rear and broke all of the teeth on a holiday weekend of hard riding (only had 2 weeks on the sprocket to begin with...maybe 1500 miles at the most)
demon
Yep, I use a hard anodized alloy rear 46 tooth from AFAM. Have had it on for about 3 thousand miles and no problems yet. I have done a lot of drag racing with it as well. Holds up good with little wear so far.

birdie_xx
You could call Roger at Motoman (909) 608-0082 or e-mail him at Motomantwstec@aol.com ... I think I paid $108 plus $7 S&H. Make sure you mention the rivet link and the gold color. There was no extra charge. The chain had the original box. IIRC it said "DID530ZVM-110 G & B"..... It was first reffered by GregG2.......
