  1. Friend of mine uses one on his 'priller Futura and loves it.

    Sea Foam

+1 on the half can. http://www.seafoamsales.com/buy.htm
  4. http://www.motolight.com/ Pricey but bulletproof.
  5. Tire pressure??? Also - Raising the rear changes the front rake. I've found my XX is more prone to front end shimmy when loaded after I extended the rear shock length (Wilburs). The 6mm washer trick probably does the same thing.

    Jacks

I use a tie-down to strap the bike to the rear stand and then use a floor jack under the oil pan w/ a small piece of plywood between the jack and the bike. Very stable setup, I can "mongo" the bike and not worry about it tipping.
  7. Couldn't get 2.5 wt. in time for Hookers so I put in 3wt. and it works fine.
  8. Word of caution when staking the rivets..... It takes suprisingly little pressure to split the rivet when staking it. ..... Don't ask how I know this
  9. Wow!!! Those are some FAT Mains for an XX with no other work  You're not running too rich WFO?
  10. Return them an buy a set of VFR bars.
  11. Yeah, you got mounted alright
  12. DOH!!! No wonder my front end kept diving. I'm probably running 10-15mm low  That's what happens when you're rushing to get to HookersXX I suppose
  13. +1 Those guys ROCK!!!!! They will go out of their way for you EVERY TIME!!!!!!!
  14. I you had the tank off double check the fuel line/vent plumbing. It's a common mistake that will stop a XX in it's tracks. (don't ask me how I know this )
  15. Oh great...Another gun nut
  16. Use the cheesy spark plug wrench in the XX's tool kit. Works like a champ.
  17. Never got the corners to sit right on my MagKnight - sent it back and bought a tankslapper set for 1/3 the price. Couldn't be happier.
  18. I'd replace it. The last thing you want to be doing on the Blue Ridge Parkway is looking for a bike shop with a replacement tire in stock. don't ask me how I know this  Peace of mind is worth the $30+ dollars of tread. You can always hang onto the old tire for emergencies.
  19. Get the Glock!!!!!
  20. Hey man your timing stinks!!! http://www.superblackbird.com/Wilbers/
  21. Motion-Pro makes a small auxillary tank you can hang over the bike like an IV - works great!!! I've synced the XX carbs 3 times and every time all 4 cylinders were within 1/4" of each other on the gauge before starting. If you have time and want to tinker, sync the carbs. But you probably don't need to.
  22. Buy 1 bulb/ballast for the low beam. Hella, Bosch, Phillips - they're all good. Spend the extra money now on quality components and you won't be riding home in the dark someday  HID high beam is overkill on the bird and you can't flash-to-pass with it. I used 3M VHB tape and mounted the ballast inside my fairing. Close enough for the pigtail, never had a heat issue with the ballast.
  23. They work just as well under the windscreen mounted to the top of the instruments. Signal will travel right through your LP speedscreen. FWIW
  24. Check out - http://www.motormash.com Ask for Dave and tell him Terry sent you. He is up by Stewart airport. Good guy, good tuner and has the only Factory dyno in the entire Hudson Valley.
