    I give up!

Are the plug wires installed in the correct order? (I know, sounds stupid but you never know) Still leaning towards air leak or bad sensor. Are the fuel/vent lines installed correctly? Only other thing I can think of.

Air leak somewhere? Any mods done?
  4. Maybe they should try jelly beads instead of ceramic...
  5. When something is heated it's molecules get exited and the item is perceived to expand. When the molecules relax the item "contracts".
  6. I had a friend who was dying to drill a few 1" holes through my airbox lid and re-jet the bike. He did the same to his VFR (and swapped his K&N filter back to stock) and saw about a 10hp gain on the dyno. I'm guessing an XX may be good for an extra 15hp if done correctly. Anyone here ever try this on a non-ramair XX?
  7. Inspect the Molex connector on the R/R. If it's failing it will be charred.
  8. +1 They go above and beyond every time. I bought my last DID chain from them and cracked a rivet 2 days before a bike trip installing it (totally my fault). Called them up and they overnighted me 2 rivet links for the price of 1 link w/ and charged me for standard shipping.

    Coolant Mix

50% distilled water and 50% ethelene glycol. Stay away from propylene glycol. It's "greener" but doesn't cool as well (e.g. Engine Ice). Also, water wetter is fairly effective.
  10. You are looking at a 17amp load. HIDs are no majic bullet, they will only save you about 1.6 amp per bulb. LED turn signals are a wash because they are hardly ever used and you will probably have to add a resistor into the circuit to get them to flash correctly anyway. Tail lights are about 600ma (4.5 amps with the brakes applied). With all this done you are still asking for about 160 extra watts from your charging system. It could be done if managed correctly. Warchild has about the most farkles I've seen on an XX. Didn't he come up with some load management switchbox?
  11. Breakers are for pussies!!! Rip that shit out and jam a couple or 10p nails in there!!!
  12. My guess is 170lbs-ish My 35" Trinitron weighs 165lbs
  13. Blackbirds DO NOT use V-TEC, never have. If your mechanic does not know that I would find another mechanic ASAP.
  14. Nova Scotia!!! Eh?!? Slab it up to Portland Me and take the slow ferry to Yarmouth NS (overnight trip - drinking, eating and gambling on the boat ) and beeline it to Cape Breton. Now who's gonna organize it?
  15. ??? I've replaced my rear shock twice. I put the bike on the front stand and use a floorjack, the shock comes right out w/o removing the undertail. :icon_think: I've never tried it but you might be able to remove the tail cowl/grab bar to get at the lock/cable.
  16. It must be a Florida thing. Are you related to K-tard???
  17. Or they may just plain lie to you... http://www.cbr1100xx.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=38366
  18. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/default.aspx What a bunch of USELESS TOOLS!!!! I gouged my HJC going over the bars on the dirt bike a few weeks ago and needed a new lid. So I ordered a Fly Racing Lite helmet and a pair of 661 elbow guards from these morons on 8/31 AND paid $19.99 for express shipping. I call on 9/5 to check on the order and get tracking info, I was told that the elbow guards were in and the helmet would be in tomorrow and everything would go out on 9/6 for 9/7 delivery. After not receiving anything I call back on 9/8 and they now tell me that they have the helmet in stock and elbow pads are expected in early the following week. I had them cancel the elbow pads (impulse buy) and ship the helmet ASAP. I was told that since I called after 3pm it wouldn't go out until monday morning 9/11 but it would be overnighted. So I call again today (9/12) and Debi explains to me that the person I spoke to on friday cancelled the helmet order and would ship out the elbow pads as soon as they came in. Needless to say I cancelled the order. This was their second and FINAL chance with me. I ordered a pair of Moose MX pants from them last year and the pair they shipped were defective so I returned them. They had the balls to charge me a 10% RMA fee for the return. I called to complain but it got me nowhere. :icon_wall: So, there you have it. Motorcycle-Superstore.com sucks!!!
