  1. Wow someone just got hired by B& D. Make sure you keep your reciepts and no where the repair center is. Might be good stuff for home but my High School kids eat them up.

    UFER ground

Here in California you must run a seperate 20' lenght of #4 rebar centered in the foundation to act as a ground. Can someone please tell me why this is better than the rebar that is all connected for the foundation (80' in my case) ?? Thanks
  3. On splintering on the table saw.- After you get all the adjustments right make yourself a "0" tolerance throatplate. This is the piece that incircles the blade. The best material would be 1/2" baltic birch with melamine on top. After you get it to fit the saw nice and snug, completly lower the blade, and raise the saw up through the insert (hold insert down with another board) until you get to your normal blade height ( 1/4" above material thickness.) Good luck!!
  4. Beautiful job!! You must not have kids or that sink would be a disaster. Doesn't this belong in the Handyman section?? Great job again!!
  5. Are you going to get a permit? - I have a neighbor that would turn me in - he turned my Afghan in the day I brought him home for howling!!! He didn't howl since I showed him the letter!!
  6. Sean - do you want to use a hammer-drill the only way to drill concrete. Give me a call Herman
  7. You might want to check out the black chrome -- years ago I was going to have my 10-speed black chromed. I was told it would wear off. I opted for regular chrome. Made the bike stiffer.

    New board

Impressive this site went up in no time flat. My son is home all day tomorrow. I promised to help him with his bodykit(fiberglass-yuk!) maybe he'll help me with the digital pictures.
  9. O.K. the drawer looks much better. I have to learn how to upload and download pictures. Theres tons of cool stuff I built when I worked for a custom cabinet shop. But no pictures at all. The T.V. reminds me of one we build for Linda Ronstant. It was at the foot of her bed inside a (blanket) cabinet. With the push of her renmote it raised up. Never did meet her though, or her room for that matter. She was cute back in the early 80"s
  10. Nice work JRA!!!. I teach Woodworking here in Sacramento. Been teaching since '78 both Junior and Senior High. Had a 3 year stint in a custom cabinet shop. My speciallty there was custom conferance tables. My baby was a 11' x 17' walnut oval with 1/4" brass inlay. The table was build in 3 pieces so the ends could be joined to make a seperate table. Also have(probably had) a few pieces in the state capital and attorney generals office. If its wood in my house I built it. Couldn't afford to buy it anyway. Any way if you have questions I'll try to answer. Sorry no pics (my son has to teach me. The dovetailed drawer? The bottom tail looks wide (sorry thats the teacher in me
  11. O.K. heres a cheap way to reuse COPPER washers. Heat till orange with propane torch. Immediately drop in water. It will expand and re-anneal(soften) the copper. Its basically brand new. Good for at least 5 oil changes,. Am I cheap or what?
  12. You want flat head allen screws don't you?(Like stock except allen head) If you can't find them I can get them at my local ACE hardware store and mail them to you.
  13. I've only ridden mine with the 16 tooth sprocket! Keep thinking about putting the stock one on, but
  14. Read that post last week. Punched in E-bay there was only 1 R1 rectifier. I won Forgot price I think it was $20.50 should be here this week> Will let you know my results.
  15. My "Walmart" battery is sealed. But it was purchased in Hawaii. I'am 98% sure my rectifier just went. Did all the tests according to the manual and only getting 10.53 volts   why is my emotion green? $$ going out
