  1. http://www.cmsnl.com/products/alarm-attachment_08e55mat800/ Wiring Harness http://www.cmsnl.com/products/alarm_08e55mata01/ alarm kit Found em.... gunna run ya about well a pretty penny
  2. If you look at the picture of the destructions you can see that it is 08E55-MAT-800 for the security harness kit, but thats just the wires, I dont know where the box is for the rest of it cuz the other half is the alarm and remotes and all that jazz... Here is the link for the seller I got it from you can ask him. Meanwhile I will dig for the other box... I might have thrown it away because I remember consolidating the two boxes. http://stores.ebay.com/SHERWOOD-GARAGE?_rdc=1 found it... 08E55-MAT-A00 OR C00 OR B00 OR D00 based on region http://www.ledderz.net/files/spyball_8510.pdf
  3. I found it on ebay about 6 months ago, the seller was convinced it wouldnt work on a US bird... I didnt see why it wouldnt since it doesnt plug into the ECU. He was selling the alarm kit and the install kit on 2 auctions... no one bid so I got it dirt cheap. At the time I didnt realize it was also an immobilizer. It does 2 things. 1. it cuts out the starter when armed so you cant start the bike even if you try to hot wire it, and it cuts out the pulse generator so if you bypass the ignition and push start it, it wont fire. It passively arms the immobilizer automatically, but to activate the alarm you physically have to push the remote. It is sensitive to movement and vibration. Its really cool it plugs into stock wiring harness all in the trunk compartment. Only 1 modification is required and that is you pull the yellow/red wire out of the starting relay harness, plug in a wire from the alarm in its place, then it comes with a plug to put that wire into, then you connect that plug into the alarm wiring. It was super duper simple!!!!! It also comes with an accessory wire (not sure what for) and a maintenance wire, if the maintenance wire is plugged in to itself the alarm is completely deactivated. +1 I take it that it is different than the anti thief system KIS or something like that? Totally different than the HISS (which I was looking at doing) HISS uses a chipped key that is matched with the ECU that prevents the bike from starting unless that key is inserted into the ignition. This is plug and play into stock harness Dude you dont even know, especially considering the wife and I are going to Laguna Seca in a few days and taking the XX. The alarm is super freakin loud 115db and the tones are EAR PIERCING. I considered buying a scorpion alarm but for the alarm and harness to fit my bike it was expensive and it wasnt an immobilizer. I am soooooo happy with this purchase and super lucky I found it!
  4. OK so a while back I scored an OEM alarm for the XX off ebay UK. The guy was hesitant to sell it to me because it was a GB model and said it wouldnt work on US spec bikes... Well I am proud to announce that IT DOES WORK. This thing is sweet. SUPER friggen loud, disables the ignition and pulse generator so there is no bump starting it or anything. The alarm is an ear piercing 115 db with passive arming. Anyway just had to kinda brag I scored big time and shipped it was less than 80 bucks. Here are some pics.. I dont have a steady hand.... so yeah but its a OEM accessory! I have the part numbers but im sure its not available anywhere.....
  5. Anyone out there change out their right hand switch with a thinner honda switch off say, RC51, 1000RR? Im having issues with the wiring. XX stock push button has 4 wires in it, and the other switch has 3. any ideas how to make it work?
  6. Ugh sorry I have right side... MT7R is stamped on it
  7. I think i have the left hand. I have one spare just cant remember left or right, ill check it out. I also have housings but they are white.
  8. looks like a no brainer for the diy sag specially if you do it by yourself!
  9. Dan is a great guy, and I have his exhaust. For the price you def cant go wrong!
  10. Well they'll match my stuff Imma give 'em a try... if they're still available??? I'll give you $45, a can of camel spit and a reach around from Hobie...deal? Man day late and dollar short... it really sucks too I was hoping for the reach around..... as far as the camel spit goes ive got more time in the middle east than any American man should so I got my far share of that. Maybe I will have something available in the near future so we can barter over Hobie!
  11. I havent worn AGV boots in a long ass time, over 10 years so I forget what size I used to wear but I wear 11-11.5W in most shoes and boots. My sidi's 3 different styles are all 45's. I tried these on with thin bootie sox and they werent big at all infact when I laced them up they only allowed my foot to move maybe at most fwd and back 1/2 at MOST. I dont know if they size small or what but either way blue doesnt match my stuff...lol
  12. Title says it all. If you need pictures here is a link. The boots are new with no tags. I tried them on and they are just a tad big too big for me. I wear an 11W. With a thick sock they would be good fit. I wear a 45 Sidi. http://images.motorcycle-superstore.com/Pr...ring_2_Boot.jpg
  13. OK you need to read my post... with the bike on the rear stand LIFT THE SUBFRAME, this will UNLOAD the shock keeping the rear wheel right where it is. If the SHOCK mount is loosened then you will be lifting the SUBFRAME away from the SHOCK causing a GAP in the shock mount allowing you to slide the shim in. You can do this regardless of where the rear wheel is... key is to remove weight from the shock by lifting the weight of the bike off of it.
  14. Ok with the nut backed off you have to grab your subframe and lift the rear of the bike up. I suggest having a friend help. Once you lift the bike up the shock will drop down and you should be able to insert the shim then simply relax and tighten the bolt!
  15. You know its funny I have a carbed version and i dont experience any overheating in southern california. granted it rarely gets too hot down here but when it does... no issues. I have only went from coolant to engine ice. I also did change out my oil cooler lines to braided stainless lines. I cant remember if I put a muzzy aluminum fan blade on her or not...
  16. sounds to me like the nut may have backed off on the pressure plate......... you dont need the clutch for anything other than take offs and landings with the XX. Let me know if you need any parts though. I have a spare slave cylinder and sorts.
  17. I read the page and dont understand what the reference points are and how to use it... looks to me like a fancy yard stick with an enormous price tag.
  18. I know what you are talking about with regards to flipping it from side to side but as a 900RR owner, 1000RR owner, RC51 owner, and 1100XX owner I must say that my 1100xx with properly tuned suspension handles better and is more comfortable flipping side to side even if it takes more effort its no noticeable due to the bike being soo smooth. My 1000RR has yet to have any suspension work and other than galfer rotors, lines, slip on and 520 sprocket conversion the bike has no mods to change performance. I will say though as a previous SV owner I dont think i have ridden a bike other than my 99-01 SV650 that handled better and was just more fun to ride but the smile the XX put on my face that weekend and how comfortable I was on it and it has all the power in the straights to keep up with the big boys where the SV didnt... its a better bike all around!
  19. I have dymag CF wheels which help tremendously, also you dont need a rear shim the ohlins shock can be made right height adjustable by ohlins for just over 100 bucks!
  20. Have you tried checking the main fuse?
  21. Dude ur in SD and ur bikes been sitting 3 weeks..lol the weather hasnt been bad here...
  22. So my 97 CBR1100XX has been sitting since March of last year..... Yesterday I decided it was high time to ride it... I put the key in... the lights came on and she cranked over and fired up like she was rode yesterday... it did struggle to idle so I turned up the idle, checked the oil, aired up the tires and rode it up to the shell station. Bought a bottle of carb cleaner, filled up with V power with nitrogen and down the road I went. 70 miles later as I continued to lower the idle she stops back firing and runs smooth as the day she came off the show room floor. I ended up getting in with a group of fast riders on 1000RR's, R-1's, GSXR1K's and a couple BMWS1000RR's and this is the first time I have really ridden the XX hard and let me tell you..... WOW with everything I have done to it, it feels more planted, stable and like its mean to turn than my 09 CBR1000RR. I will be posting a few pictures later from local camera guys that sit on the route and take photos but wow all I can say is the CBR1100XX is truely the best bike ever!!! hwy94 Hwy94 HWY94

  24. Hi Bear, thought I saw one on the pics of your ride. Found Scotts OK, they look like a class act, but the BRG mount is not coming up. You got any info on tham? Muchas Gracias! This is their site. They used to list some XX parts (rear sets, and damper bracket) and a ton of SV650 parts. Not sure what they are into now! It does require drilling frame and triple clamp but its an easy gig! http://www.brgracing.com/
