  2. Yes it is baffled. Its a Danmoto www.danmoto.com I paid 120 bucks for it, took a gamble because I liked the look and it is now 3 years old and no problems. the bike sounds VERY GP'ish!

  6. Ive been following this thread and tho I am interested in a turbo my XX is soo freaking fast as it is now I dont know that I want it considerably faster. I am interested but what kind of increase are we talking. I am running a delkevic stock header replacement 4-1-2 and two brothers slip ons which I believe are 60MM. My bike is a carbed bird.

  9. I have an offer in mind....lol its junk for me as I put a whole new rear brake system on my XX, different size rotor, different caliper bracket and a brembo caliper. I have the galfer rotor (stock size) and ill send you my galfer pads that are mated with it unless you want to buy some new ones. Im not going to play people back and forth, its a used rotor that is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. You are the first and only response so give me your offer! Worse I can say is no right?

  11. Looks to me like all you have to do is drill 2 holes and mount the light and your done.
  12. I got an XX rear galfer rotor, I de linked the brakes and ive probably put just over 1500 miles on the rotor and pads. Make me an offer its yours!
  13. yeah I thought about doing the baby powder thing. Its not the line as I have braided SS lines from a HEL oil cooler kit. There is NO evidence at all that the leak is coming from anywhere but maybe the neck of the oil cooler where the line mounts or just below... ill just have to take her apart and bring it to work and have it put on our hydraulic test stand and check it out.... any idea what pressure to test it at?
  14. Ok so prior to laguna seca I did full maintenance on the blackbird including oil change where I went from semi synthetic to full synthetic. Here in lies the problem.... now i have developed a minor leak on my oil cooler. I thought ok maybe i pinched the O-ring (since I just replaced them) but nope... so I put a new one in and put a small coat of silicone sealent on the face of the fitting to ensure I was getting a solid seal. At first I thought, yay its gone... but after almost 100 miles the leak is back but not as major... its NOT coming from the fittings.... im wondering is it possible the cooler itsself has a crack somewhere in it? Anyone ever experience this? I dont want to drop 100 bucks for a new cooler... any aftermarket coolers out there for the XX BTW its a carbed bird 97/98. Any help is appreciated!
  15. id be concerned about the spring rate, R1 spring appears to be thinner and much smaller than stock..... should have significant impact I would think.

  19. I dont have that model exhaust but I am running Dan Moto products on my 09 CBR1000RR, both the GP exhaust and the adjustable clip ons. Its good stuff great prices and Dan is a great guy to deal with. Check out his website he has helmets for 22 bucks that are ece certified.
  20. Ok so... just wanted to up date for those that may take the time to change their switches here is what I found out..... Right side switch-from RC51 (since I am using an action throttle) cleans up the controls. Make the RC51 plug color match exactly to the CBR1100XX and badda bing it works. It doesnt come matching you have to move a couple wires around. Left side Euro Flash to Pass switch-Once I pulled it apart wire by wire it was pretty simple. You can take the turn signal part out of the stock switch and use it in the Euro switch so your turn signals stay as running lights, otherwise only 1 plug is provided on the euro switch. Only rewiring required is take to take the white wire with the green stripe that goes from the horn to the flash to pass switch and take the blue wire and blue wire with white stripe ( high beam and low beam) and connect a each side of the flash to pass with that wire. It really was quite simple I just nuked it!!!
