  1. try partsguy / parts man, I think he ships internationally, super nice to deal with, and good prices.
  2. Sorry no pics, it's just a plain black metzi tank skin, it's already in the box. It's almost sold, just working on the shipping. Borrowed from Metzi's facebook page, not mine: https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/JT844...feat=directlink
  3. I was taking to partsman the other day, his price is MUCH lower than $500, He mentioned that they weren't much more expensive than a lead/acid battery, and that they could be easily shipped because of no acid in them. Give him a call at 519-649-1126 his name is Al, and the best part is he ships really fast.
  4. Are you sure he was a real engineer? "Simple idea" is something I've never heard from the mouth of an engineer. I'm glad you got in a temporary fix to get you home.
  5. My buddy is running these on his FJR, he likes them much better than his z6 interac. He's got about 1/8" of chicken strip and he's even got it leaned over pretty good with wifey on the back. So far about 2000 km on them no cupping or flat spots.
  6. Just don't post and SHIM porn. I have my spacer with the open end facing backwards no issues here.
  7. Are you planning on removing the bags? I'm asking because it looks like you have about as much storage as a minivan already. Oxford makes some nice tank bags, and if you're not fussy about the colour, there is a blue one for sale in the other section. There is "bags-connection" that are nice and can be setup with electrics, but they aren't cheap, have a look for them on twistedthrottle.com .
  8. I thought it was the nature of the bird, mine does the "I'm thinking about it" delay also, I haven't noticed the flashing rate difference, I'll have to look. I don't think it's the flasher unit, I just changed from oem to a digital unit to go with led turn signals, and it was delayed it before I did any changes. Do you notice if the the high beam switch has the same delay?
  9. +1 on the tiforce Business for you, pleasure for me. The Tiforce is relatively stealthy until you crack it, and that ear to ear grin appears.
  10. Cool how much do you want for it?
  11. If you've got a chain guard hanging around let me know, for an '00 XX if it makes any difference.
  12. That looks like an undertray for a 97-98 xx the tail light is different. I've got a pimpbike undertail for my '00. The signal lights are useless, the brake/running lights are OK. I ended up reusing my stock signals mounted to my wingrack, it looks a little weird, but now it matches the weird owner. I ended up cutting about 3" off the end of it, as it was coming into contact with my hugger, unfortunately I didn't also notice that the hugger had hit the undertail on a big bump, but luckily (bad luck) the carbon fiber hugger broke instead of the $100 undertail :icon_think: Plate mounting is also a problem, if you mount it behind the signals it will come into contact with the tire on large bumps, or maybe it's because I'm fat. I've seen a couple of guys mount the plate sideways on the swingarm, sort of like the way custom bikes do. The license plate brackets they ship with the undertail are just small L brackets. You will also have to figure out something to do with your seat locking mechanism, as it will be removed when you cut the stock undertail. This is what I've ended up doing: Here's a little video, you can barely tell that the LED signal is on compared to the stocker. Sorry for the crappy quality, the running lights look washed out. 13. http://www.brodi.com/facility/brofix/ I've used something like this, there are about a million resellers, there is steele, fiberglas and general epoxy. I've used the steel, I once attached an eye bolt to a boiler door to keep it from swinging shut while I cleaned it, I couldn't break the bolt off with a 5lb sledge, we ended up grinding it off. It's a tube of two part putty, you kneed it together, it can even be drilled and tapped.
  14. Nice price too bad I just bought one. If someone wants me to have a look for them I'm not too far away from the seller.
  15. Hmm no one likes the Ti force eh?
  16. My condolences to you, and congrats to whoever bought your unique XX
  17. AFAIK the bird doesn't need one, they are pretty stable at speed. If you're getting a wobble have a look at your steering head bearings.
  18. I've often wondered about hybrid systems, or even using the heat generated by an air conditioner to heat a pool (it gets cold in Canada you know...). The only answers I have been able to get is that an electric element water is almost 100% efficient. I'm not counting line losses and transformation to get the power to your house, just once it's inside. I found some information about the various prices on Water heating and it seems like the heat pump is the least expensive in the long run. I haven't seen any convincing numbers on the first hour ratings, with the hybrid during a high demand, you'd be using the elements and losing your savings. The thing I like about electric element tanks is it's not high tech and as easy to maintain as an anvil, if it breaks it's cheap to replace and you can get it serviced by anyone any time. I like gas too, and most plumbers can get parts or a replacement unit in hours. I'm not sure how many plumbers know how to fix a heat pump tank, it could require 2 repairman visits and no hot water for a longer time. If the electronic card goes it might take 2-5 days to replace. The problem with running the dryer into the furnace room is you won't be heating the water all the time. So the humidity could be a problem. An electric tank is noiseless, but in a basement you wouldn't notice the noise from a heat pump, probably less noisy than a power vented gas fired unit. I like the idea of putting the freezer (and maybe moving the fridge closer to scavenge all the heat.
  19. You can still get prices online, but now you have to create a profile and log in, he's great to deal with and good prices too, even if he does race a suzuki.
  20. Dibs! If you can't ship to Canada (or won't) I'll PM you my US po box too.
  21. I think he might be referring to the plastic rocker attached at the 12 O'clock position above your ignition switch? It says "Hi", and the rest is unreadable. I suspect it has something to do with parking lights, which we don't have over here..... That is the HISS "Honda Ignition Security System" anti theft over the pond.
  22. Someone did pick it up. But unfortunately I didn't have an XX to put it on, so I bought his bike too.
