  1. When I get home from work tonight I will pull the seat off of my 97 and take a pic and let you know . Just by looking at the pic I would think that the red wire goes on the outside and the red/white goes on the inside. However I will look at mine tonight to be sure. Its been a while since I had to look at mine.
  2. You are cleaning house huh? I might be interested in this to store my fire would under. Can I get directions to this zip code?
  3. That'sconnector goes to the starter solinoid and is known to burn if not maintained. Keep the connections clean and free od corrosion and you should be good. By the looks of it though it has been let go and already melted the connector. The 2 heavy wires are supposed to be in that plug. Once the connections are clean use some dielectic grease to help prevent future corrosion. Looks like the the bike has been sitting outside for a while in the weather too. Lube that chain good.
  4. That looks like the starter relay connectors. Don't u have a shop manual? If not I am sure u can look it up on the net. I am headingbout to my shop in a couple mins and will look to see exactly wich goes where. Those wires look kinda rough. Before you reconnect anything I would go over any bare wires with either heatshrink or tape. What yr bike is it?
  5. Well hell I sent Josh a pm about this on the 11 and told him if zero fell tbrough that I would tak ed it. .
  6. How old are those tires. They look quite dry. My Bird and trackbike sit in an unheated shop all winter long and have never had any issues like that and I have had all my bikes in un conditioned garages for 25 years now.
  7. Gringer with a cut off wheel. Or a bansaw. Jigsaw either way you will need to clean it up with a sanding disc on the grinder. Unless you have a waterjet machine.... :icon_think:
  8. Thanks for the heads up but you have the left side passanger peg for the XX. I am in need of the left rider rearset for an F4. Good luck with your sale.
  9. I checked mine at about 40k miles and now have over 65k guess I am in need of checking them again. Might need to consider the shim thingy you speak of.... oh well guess ill buy a shim kit.
  10. Admitt it you like your toys.... we wouldnt be men if we didn't. Winter isn't over yet you may still get your chance to go blowing....
  11. Sorry, they 're gone already... I have some mirrors not complete assembly but part. I also have other BB parts also. Pm me if anyone needs anything. Sorry for the hijack Hank...
  12. I think the bear ate that when he ate the seat...lol The old phrase "It's a honey for the money" comes to mind... I'd send ya pics Stef if you used your computer instead of that magic decoder you carry around....j/k My phone is actually better then my POS computer at home. I dont use the computer for a reason. Send away big boy. Btw I have a hugger coming from Caleb already. He made me a deal I couldnt resist....lol It had something to do with knee pads and chapstick
  13. Damn you valture... Nice grab... Does it have a hugger on it? I am looking to purchase one.
  14. I have thought about doing that to my 97 since I am having intermitten dash light blackouts for no reason. Hit a bump one bulb goes out hit another bump said bulb goes on and another goes out. I have had the dash cluster out and cleaned all connections and checked the bulbs everything is in order but still off and on so I just said fuck it. One of these days I will put LEDs in there. Maybe this winter.
  15. I would say if the fluid that is in the line once it is taken apart looks clean then just top it off. If the fluid is shitty looking and the pump has trash in it the yes flush the system. What kind of radiator is it metal or plastic? How bad is it leaking and from where?
  16. tis a sad day. You are doing the right thing. Dont be sad for long. Once your flyin with the biz you can have 2 new bikes. I have often pondered the same thing with a few of my toys just havent pulled the trigger yet. Besides how the hell do you touch the groun on that thing ????? :icon_think: NBL buddy...
  17. I have complete brake setups sealed and stock exhaust cans, header and some other tid bits we could work sometin out cheap
  18. Dont thank me i just delivered it. Brian gave it to you. I might have an old t-stat floating around the shop that may have a small amount of the precious metal you are looking for. I would be happy to pass it on to you but you will have to remove it from the little glass bulb it is in and add it to your tube.
  19. Here is a little bump for a sexy bike that i wish i had the cash for. Would you trade a 2000 f4 for your 03 ? Even up :icon_shifty: J/k Good luck on the sale.
  20. Best of luck to you on this. My brother in law had the same thing done 7 years ago and did really well for the first 4 years but he liked to drink more then be thin and has since put most of his weight back on. Just keep in mind the stomach will stretch over time. You have to be strong and stick to your program. I wish you all the best.
  21. It is possible that the fronts were changed and the rear were not. If there was enough drag to wear out the rear before the front then you would have noticed during chain maintenance.
