  1. Yep pretty much any of it from any year will bolt up.
  2. Pilot Roads (got over 9k outta my last rear) and RKA bags, fit nice look good, easy to deal with.
  3. Ive lost nearly 40lbs in the last cpl months and damn the bike wheelies easier, but I gotta hang my ass off furthur in the corners.
  4. I think that the seal went out due to the lack of wheelies.
  5. I have 6k miles on my rear and it has the same line, this was more like an off center low profile mohawk on my front
  6. When I was up in vegas this weekend my front end started feeling funny, The belts came apart in my pilot road front tire and left a 1 inch wide and 1/4 inch tall bulge all the way around the tire off center. Missed out on a day of riding due to it, but thankfully the friendly neighborhood Cycle Gear replaced the tire under warrany. I ended up having to put a sportec on the front because they were out of pilots. I didnt see any tire mix problems in the ride home today. I will end up replacing my rear with a sportec prolly and just replace em both with avons after I shred the the sportecs. When in vegas stop by and see the guys and girls at the Cycle Gear they're good people.
  7. ex evercrack addict here, what server did you play on.
  8. Dont let some of these guys scare yah about changing your plugs. I glanced at warchilds page and knocked them out in about an hour including a couple trips to the fridge for beer. I used the toolkit socket and a regular snap on combo 10mm wrench. Paint mixer sticks make good tank props.
  9. They are 10.70 at ayers. I hope theres another, friendlier dealer in your town.
  10. Check at a professional auto paint supplier, you can get a 3m glue that comes in a tube for a caulking gun and kinda resembles silicone and is used to repair small tears/cracks in the bumper skins on most cars. I sanded the rear side of a small crack and used some of the stuff, worked really well. I had that part of the fairing apart tonite and its still together and solid. Or you can try this method, but it could be hard on the paint. http://www.sportrider.com/tech/146_0204_body/
  11. The sirius labeled panasonic unit we use has rca outputs, the audiovox unit does as well. They also have non modulated setups available thru kenwood and others. I dont have an audio setup on my bike yet, I do have a set of j&m pods sittin waitin to go into my helmet, but Im waitin for a free satt radio system to fall outta the sky (It happens sometimes in my biz).
  12. Pm me any installation questions once yer knee deep in the bike. I have been workin with sirius satt radio equip (same stuff basically) since it came out, and I'm prolly the only one on the board to be silly enuff to have a autostart on my bird. I do car wires for a livin.
  13. Try the pilot roads, I got near 3k on mine and they still got a long way to go, no cupping nice and grippy but I recomend 39psi or so for touring and 34psi for twisties in the back tire. They handle wet roads pretty well too.
  14. If it were mine Id make up 2 little vinyl wrapped padded panels and stick em to the tank in the area that the seat is posed to cover to make it look a lil better, other than that I dig the way the tail looks. But I gotta agree with kg4fku that mirror setup is fugly, the stockers with tinted lenses are the shit.
  15. Hehehe I think I found someone who waxes their bike as much as me!!!! I cant stand to have a dirty bike, bugs on it drive me insane. To make it even worse I use the last 2 stages of the meguiars 3 stage deep crystal every time I do it so its 2x as much work. Keeping the fastest color XX pretty is a tough job.
  16. or if u want it to work with the ignition tap it to any one of the red with a black stripe med gauge wires that are on the underside of the fuse panel, but be sure to add an inline fuse less than 6 inches from the connection just to be safe.
  17. Ive got around 800 miles on my pilot roads now and they live up to all that gibberish in the first post IMHO. But they do say MADE IN FRANCE on the sidewall. Im tempted to impale them with a bowie knife and piss on them but damn they are nice tires. Btw there is like no wear on em at all cept on the sides where I was gettin happy on the throttle doin corner exits tryin to break em loose. Except for the fact that they are made by skirt wearing pussies I LOVE EM.
  18. I put the autostart in saterday, was a cakewalk. It fits nicely in the sides of the tailsection. It works great to freak out old ladies gettin in their car next to yer bike.
  19. I thought the 205's were like riding on ice. Switched to the pilot roads and they only break loose when I want them to now.
  20. holy shit 9k miles on a front 205? Mine was toasted at 5k.
  21. Carlos do you have a proximity sensor on the ragtop? If not I think I have an extra layin around the bottom of my toolbox you can have.
  22. Im not too worried about a paging system. The one im going to install this saterday doesnt have one. Most of the time I am never out of handgun range of my bike. I'm mostly doin the autostart for the pimp factor and warmin it up in the mornin.
  23. I havent seen any compustar stuff but we do sell audiovox, dei, and magnadyne stuff that has the 2 way pagers built into the remote. They are fairly newish and I havent seen any of the 2 way stuff come back in on trades. The three we have all have remote starts built in and one of them even has a temp readout for the car interior built into the remote. The remotes on those are VERY fragile, and expensive do not seem to last long. I mostly get alot of used basic alarms. But on a good note I got my viper 550 today, one of my boys had one stashed in his locker and I talked him outta it. Now all I need is the time to get it on the bike. I may just be the first bird on the board with an autostart, yer gonna hafta get one next swampy to continue with the inspector gadget theme.
  24. I am going to put a viper 550hf autostart/alarm on my birdy as soon as I come by one at work. I work in the automotive aftermarket biz and have done plenty of car alarms on bikes and bike alarms on bikes. Car alarms tend to be more flexible with installation and offer more options generally. All you hafta do is take the covers off the brain and put a thin bead of silicone around the edges and put the brain in a plastic bag with a zip tie around the open end where the harness comes out for double protection. I end up with alot of used stuff out of trade in cars and am just waiting for a nice clean one to come in to do mine.
