  1. Don't be afraid of seconds, they look fine. The outlet used to post on ebay too.
  2. Does it look like this? V-Twin 650cc - Single sided swing arm.
  3. I have one like this and I'll ride through a whole tank of gas, fill up, ride off, and then remember I NEVER GOT OFF THE BIKE. This is a fair price for the saddle alone with a "free" backrest. These seats get more comfortable as you ride so broken in is better. I don't know this guy but this is a good deal. Plus you will be able to have this seat for years and sell if for the same price.
  4. Your group will love The Tree Tops. Built for bikers. Owner is a great guy - plan on spending an entertaining hour with him. The garage at "The Ridge" is bigger than the picture indicate. We had a dozen bikes in there plus the pool table, couch, fridge, 1/2 bath. Right off the Cherohala and close to everything else: The Tree Tops
  5. I wear these ER 6i They block a lot of the sound but not all. I hook up a radar detector, GPS, and/or music.
  6. I have a '97' with 13500 on the clock. And yes it rocks!!! Jet A 11+ year old bike, you should also change the brake fluid and clutch fluid. The brake fluid is a bit of a pain on the XX. You may as well change the pads - upgrade to EBC - while you are doing the fluid. SS lines are cool too, at least the front. The cam chain tensioner should be changed if it was not changed recently. How old is the battery? An old one may still start the bike but fry your rectifier.
  7. "P.S. Tilting the master cylinder may be all you need to do to get the air out." Air in the master cylinder - I had the same thing.
  8. Really? Only $10 and it looks like......well......$10! :icon_shifty:
  9. Just have someone else with the same setup do the same measurement. You want both sides even too. You can add some an oz if you are worried. Today's forks don't usually need oil added unless the seals are bad.
  10. The shock is a primarily up and down function. Other than upside down, I can't see how it would matter. I also never heard anyone say "Make sure you have the adjuster to the right." Finally, if it matters there is usually an arrow.
  11. A spark is light. The 'snap' is sound. Kind of like lightning and thunder.
  12. How often does a cylinder fire at 6000 rpm? 6000 RPM * 1 min / 60 seconds = 100 Rotations / Seconds * 1 Spark / 2 rotations = 50 Sparks / Second 50 Sparks / Sec just seems high. Is there something wrong with the math?
  13. I decided to go with PR2 on recommendation of A TRUSTED bike speed shop. They said the CT2 would be a track tire on a Blackbird and would not last. The PR2 is one grade harder all around but should heat up and grip on an XX.
  14. In answer to your question, you can drill the stock cans and get a deeper richer sound for little or no money. Someone on here powder coated them for a great look too.
  15. 137 RWHP + 5 Poker run bonus so Harley guys don't cry - They all think your bike is on NOS. + 5 Florida bonus, Blackbirds are know to run 200mph. ---------- 147 RWPRFLHP (Rear Wheel Poker Run FLorida Horse Power)
  16. What do you have to pay for something like that?
  17. Start bike, helmet, zip up, gloves on - go smooth and easy first 2-3 miles. You will see the temp go up, then the thermostat will open and the temp drops again. Once the temp comes back up to a steady reading.... Rock and Roll! BTW Red Line Water Wetter will keep the reading around 182 in the open unless it's a hot day then 188-196.
  18. The ZR-7S is a 750 from Kawasaki but feels very light and is esy to ride. It gets 48 mpg and is a "standard" bike for insurance so is cheap to keep also. Motorcyclist called it a bargin beginner that you can keep. Both my sons learned on it. I turned the idle up a little so it would not stall too easy. I take it when my wife comes with me because the passenger ergo's are better.
  19. Two things that always sell: Helibars and Corbin Seats. You lose about $50 if you bought new and they still look new. I consider it a rental fee. You can also buy the Helibars for a VFR but you may need longer brake hoses. Should be comfy. Anyone try this?
  20. Not mine but thought some of you may be interested. I ordered one from the same seller. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda-Fossi...1QQcmdZViewItem eBay item number: 270203163827 This is the limited edition Honda "Motor Watch" wrist watch. Also known as the Blackbird or Oil Can watch, it was never sold to the public, but was a promotional watch given away with their new 200 mph CBR1100XX Blackbird, at that time the fastest production motorcycle in the world. The dial replicates the bike's speedometer, from 5 mph up to 205 mph. It is brand new and never worn. The face is approximately 27mm wide, and the bezel appears to be stainless. The Honda wing is etched on the back, along with the words "Limited Edition" and "Japan". The strap is black leather. There dial is lit by the button above the stem. It was made exclusively for Honda by Fossil. It comes in its original slip-apart replica oil can, in the original box. A certificate of authenticity is included. Although the watch is new and never worn, a new battery was just installed. At that time you could only get the watch when you bought the motorcycle so finding a brand new one in this good shape is a rare find! This makes a great Christmas gift for the Honda Blackbird fan or any motorhead. The watch will be shipped in working condition, but carries no warranty or guarantee, and there are no returns or refunds.
  21. I added two shots of 15w fork oil to each side in under 5 mins I was back on the road. Also, decrease your tire pressure to 34f / 36r. Works for me!
  22. I have a nice condo to sell you in Florida. With 20 hp extra you can do 200mph and get there before you left with the time warp in the worm holeā€¦..
  23. How about if you want to help, then give information and not say "use search". I did a search and nothing came up. Sorry I don't know.
