  1. We'll see if there is any interest, but my big thing is I can't get a new bike until this one is gone. Figured my best chance on a used busa or 14 will be in the next couple months. Would like to have my ducks in a row when the time comes.
  2. Sold Bump for price drop. Thought I would post up here and see if there is any interest. Actually looking to upgrade to a Busa or 14. Fun, fun bike... but can't do the type of touring I would like without paying for it the next day. http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/mcy/2781628070.html Updated price- for sale is a K4 GSX-R1000. These bikes are great for the street, strip, track or touring. Suzuki has traditionally been known for high horsepower bikes, but the K3/K4's set the standard for the overall performance and handling of liter bikes. I'm the second owner and the bike has been maintained since new. Runs, rides, and looks great. Very reliable and would ride it across the country if I had the time. A couple small scratches and scuffs if you work to find them, but no obvious rash or damage from a tip-over or crash. I have a clear title for the bike in my possession. Information for the bike is as follows: -27k miles -Yoshi Carbon Fiber slip-on can -Aftermarket levers and grips, R1 throttle tube conversion, and throttle lock -RAM Mounting ball and custom 12V power port for accessories (GPS, Phone, Ipod) -Tinted carbon look framesliders, carbon look Sportech windscreen, flush-mount LED turn signals, undertail with LED lights and fender elimiator -New plugs and OEM air filter -Dunlop RoadSmart front and rear tires -Clymer's Service Repair Manual, stock windscreen and levers, stock exhaust, rear cowl and passenger seat as well as K&N oil filter all go with the bike. Reply with questions or to see the bike. Lockhart Phillips bike stands also available at an additional cost.
  3. Here is Hobi a "low mileage" replacement Good price. Location would be helpful.
  4. Great looking bike at a great price. Good luck with the sale.
  5. I just got a chubby... Very cool BB and great price! Good luck with the sale.
  6. I've used GRRMX.com on two separate occasions now and they have provided the parts I needed at a lower cost than Bike Bandit or IndySuperBikes. They order OEM parts and provide them below cost. The reason I started ordering from them was due to their FREE SHIPPING. This last go round, I did have to wait about 2 weeks for my parts. Contacted them by email and they responded promptly. Emailed them thursday night, responded twice on friday (the second email was a verification that the item had shipped). Think they are located in CT, if that makes any difference.
  7. Had a couple good experiences with Bike Bandit. Only use them now when I can get free shipping. They don't always have the lowest prices, but could get the parts that I needed and have a large selection. As mentioned above, I'v used their site just for the schematics. Hell, they have an Iphone app.
  8. Not lowered. Didn't need to with my long legs kickstand. Fixed that for ya
  9. Figured this was coming. Is it lowered? Seriously...
  10. Brake fluid was checked when I changed front and rear pads last spring. I'll take a look next go round. Yeah, you know... it was 60F here yesterday (and probably there too). Had to let it purr Probably do oil and filter when the weather is nice. Its a little too cramped in the shed. Hmmm, hookers huh? May have to look into that. Just have 'em dance around it?
  11. Alright, trying to stay busy and keep the bike up while its sleeping. What do you guys normally do during the winter months to prepare for spring? Its not a bird, but it is fuel injected (GSXR 1000). What I've done so far: Topped off antifreeze 1/2 can of seafoam in about two gallons of fuel Battery out and on a trickle charger- full charge Random starts in November and December Plan to do: Change air filter Lube chain Might do: Change spark plugs Am I forgetting anything? Any other recommendations?
  12. Keep getting skinny, and let me know when you are ready to get rid of the XXL and XL's
  13. Well, made it work. Used a 5" 5/16 bolt with a two chrome sockets- one spark plug socket with the rubber bushing and one standard. Couple washers and wha-la. She did mention that her foot slides on the "peg". It was a make-shift solution. May put some clear grip tape on one side. Saw a Kaw that had a Micron high mount. They actually have a kit that allows for the rear peg assembly to remain on the bike. Talk to the guy about his exhaust and he mentioned a buddy who can machine sleeves for the assembly to go over the bracket. Looking into it...
  14. Okay, a buddy bought an '04 GSXR with a Yoshi header with high mount pipe. The right rear peg assembly was removed and replaced by a mounting bracket. He wants to be able to take a passenger, and I'm wondering how we can put a rear peg on the bike. Can't find any bolt on pegs... The best option I have read is a long bolt with a bunch of washers.
  15. http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/mcy/1827308617.html "Here's the story. This XX belonged to a friend who used it extensively to travel the USA on business; so, it has lots of miles (79k). Two years ago, while riding thru Indianapolis, he ran it off the interstate, injuring himself and scraping up the right side of the bike. The rider recovered and is covering the same territory on a Triumph. Luckily, the Givi top and right side case took the brunt of the impact, sparing the frame, cans, etc. The Givis have been sold. Some issues remain: * The peg on the right Gilles rearset broke and I had it welded professionally. I'm 220lbs and have had all my weight on the peg w/o fail. * The windscreen has scratches. * I have not replaced the side fairing decals The bike runs flawlessly. I replaced some of damaged body panels with spares from riders on this site; some damage was repaired at the body shop where the bike was professionally painted. See the pictures at http://picasaweb.google.com/john.ranalletta/Blackbird# Take a look at the pix below and the movie and if you're interested, ring me up. Disregard the bailing twine in the movie. It was my first try with the Hero GoPro and it was insurance in case the camera suction cup failed. Caution: This motorcycle is not for the uninitiated. The fastest production bike prior to the intro of the Suzuki Hayabusa, it has big power and must be managed. VIN#: JH2SC35081M400187 Price: $3,250 (can deliver on trailer w/i 100 miles of Indianapolis)"
