  1. Any threads I am subscribed to I am not getting any notification of responses to the thread even though several have been made. I do know that I'll get one notification and until I read that thread logged in under my id I won't get any further notifications if any have been made... but I'm not getting an initial notification of any replies to a thread(whether it's my thread or someone else's that I'm "watching").
  2. perhaps we should put together another group buy!? wasn't the last group buy for $145 shipped or something close? How did the guy in the sales section get his for $125 shipped?? http://www.cbr1100xx.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=45078
  3. Go to the store, buy a book called The Abs Diet, read it, follow instructions. It's so simple, even YOU can follow it! But seriously, it's broken down in every way for you, including the foods you eat, how much and the exercises you do and how much and how often. And best of all, it's easy reading. THE ABS DIET! Paperback is a brite hunter orange color. SMOOOOOOTHIES! YUM!
  4. If i remember correctly most of the other Dynos I have seen posted, that's still a pretty good set of numbers. Don't most run in the high 130s low 140s with pipe and pc?
  5. DANG! 152hp!? Is that what I'm reading? Some serious ponies. GIDDYUP!
  6. Sounds like a funky diagnosis but that same exact thing happened to me on my '01 bird last summer. It was mostly my fault though. Put in a new battery and didn't secure the positive battery terminal completely. A few days later it started jerking all to shit while I was about 100 miles from my house(Father's Day now that I think back on it)... I pull off the bike not sure what to the hell was going on.... pop the seat off and see the cable was just flopping around. Screwed it back down and made sure everything lined up correctly, took my time to make sure the screw was fully seated through cable and the reverse nut(this was where I didn't pay attention when installing the battery in the first place) inside the battery terminal port. Never had a problem after that.
  7. So, how did he fix it? don't know... here are a couple of his threads. http://www.cbr1100xx.org/forums/index.php?...c=25306&hl= http://www.cbr1100xx.org/forums/index.php?...c=33506&hl=
  8. Check with Fonzie or search his threads. Sounds damn near identical to what he experienced last winter.

  11. age AND the foods you eat are constant contributors to that problem. Welcome to the club :icon_wall: But, with proper nutrition and exercise you can cut that pudge right out. The key to squashing that area is nuts and berries(and no I don't mean rubbing one out multiple times each day.... though that won't hurt your cause :icon_love: )
  12. "oh baby, that's the spot! Right there!!" or...... "just 2 more mins, c'mon" Are those the things you say to yourself when you're talking to yourself? yeah, me either
  13. Too much pressure. Maybe I'll just sell it :icon_shifty:
  14. I have had a lot of problems with this tractor but got them all squared away early in the season. However, I still own it and need to put it away for the winter so I want to make sure I do whatever I can to lessen the likelihood of new problems in the Spring. Hater!
  15. I'm getting ready to winterize my Husq tractor. I have the battery on tender, tires are elevated..... What to do about the fuel in the tank? Fill it up and put Stabil in the tank? If I do that do I also need to run the engine for a few mins to get the Stabil into the lines or is this not necessary? Just want to be able to hook the battery up in the Spring and with minimal turning, get the beast running. Thanks
  16. Jeff, that shit truely is tight, yo. I knew when I read the title of this thread exactly which bike he was referring. The pics make it look fantastic. Does the finish, in person, look as good as it does in this photo?

    Rear shock

They are not directly compatible. Something about modifying the top of the shock to fit........
  18. High mount Walkers for the bird......
  19. +4 on getting another mechanic. :icon_duh:
  20. http://www.cbr1100xx.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=21173 There is a link in that post to his write-up on the FJR site but I can't get the site to come up. Maybe you'll have better luck.
  21. Was it exactely the same symptoms that I've described? The clutch basket, huh.. Hmm, definately worth an inspection once I pop up the clutch cover anyway, to replace the bearings.. Is this a common thing with Birds? Was exactly as you described. I have only heard clutch basket mentioned once or twice around here since I joined up but I don't frequent the garage. When it comes to the technical stuff I don't have the experience. However, since this sounded strikingly familiar I thought I would throw it out there for you to consider.
  22. Rode a Vstrom for awhile that had this same type of problem.... was a bad clutch basket.

    engine stumbled

By the way, you did buy my old bike with the leak at the rear balance shaft. Hopefully the guy you bought it from who was selling it for the guy who bought it from me told you of the leak.
