  1. The one f'n guy was baking them in solution in the oven?! I would like to try it some time in open air.
  2. ...it's not me in the post in the image.. https://cbrforum.com/forum/general-tech-9/best-way-swell-expand-restore-rubber-carbs-156202/
  3. ...and the bottoms of the doors have achieved some extra natural ventilation from Wisconsin road salt.
  4. Yeah, it's a thing. We had two weeks once a few years back that the high temperature for two weeks was -10. If you read through the thread, those other guys will attest to it. I don't know how cold it gets by Jo Kind of hard to describe this kind of cold. I was outside today trying to start my sleds. I was out for an hour and a half I got the white one going. The red one wouldn't go. My toes got cold in my hunting boots with 800 grams of thinsulate. I drove that truck for 10 years. Putting cardboard in front of the radiator was a normal thing. Nothing ever broke, the engine always ran right. Coldest days I'd have to turn down the heat after abou 30 minutes. I might have tried a different thermostat if I cared, but it always ran great in the summer so I left it.
  5. I heard it's cold in PA. https://www.thedieselstop.com/threads/grill-cover-for-cold-weather.395890/ Look for the cardboard post. Junior ran 50 minutes home last night and the 7.3L didn't make it up to operating temp? -20 last night. ...only -10 today.
  6. "Oil of Wintergreen is methyl salicylate, an agent that keeps rubber pliable. The Xylene opens the pores of the rubber so the Oil gets in. Over time the Xylene evaporates." https://www.amazon.com/Methyl-Salicylate-1000ml-Purity-Wintergreen/product-reviews/B00MR72E3U?reviewerType=all_reviews DON'T DRINK IT.

    Help

Gently use a heat gun? Look up soaking the (rubber?) in wintergreen oil to make them plyable again for reinstalling. Geriatric pieces of sportbike history. ❤️
  8. ...my drowned GEM module made for some really quirky behavior.
  9. Odd, I bought myself an OBDI-II combo-scanner, I've used it on my other vehicles, but don't recall hooking it up to the old 2001. When the rain ran in through the rusted gap around the window and drowned my GEM module, all I remember was lots of hours reading forums, Youtube, and scouring the interwebs for the right replacement. I vaguely recall that the scanner probably wouldn't have targeted the GEM black box. rockmeupto125 - Is there something in particular you're trying to trace, or just preventive maintenance/diagnostics?

  12. ...mind you, I think there would be some major machining, but I have a kit bike in the garage (more of a hope chest than basket case?) For a 913CC build on a CB750F jug. I'm getting closer to retirement. Every once-in-a-while I pick up another bit. ...could it be done? I'd need the pieces from the injectors back to wherever they're controlled (and that too?)
  13. Is the FI stuff there... also not a high priority for me if someone else needs it.
  14. Gorgeous.
  15. Put a spare fuel filter in behind the (rear) seat too. I never needed mine, but I got it on good authority.
  16. Humm, 14 years newer, six more HP and a heck of a lot rarer... https://www.cycleworld.com/sport-rider/sportbikes/2014-ebr-1190rx-first-ride-review/

    What is this?

I just had a thought, maybe for de-watering yeast, making yeast cakes.

That might clean up really cool.

    What is this?

Good call. It looks like the Freidrich Morges is (was?) also involved on fermenting operation equipment.

    What is this?

    ...you're disassembling it?
  23. Have you heard it run. 13 year old rubber and varnish in the fuel system? It is a nice looking ride.
  24. ...are they going to show up in the "look what followed me home" thread?

    What is this?

It looks like a plate chiller. Some people do use them to cool boiling wort. Linky
