  1. I have used them at the track with no bad affects. It helps keep the front end down but I have noticed that when the track is slick (cold foggy night), the back tire would light up because of less weight transfer.
  2. Pete, just forget about it! You live in Pennsylvania where no tire lives very long. I think they put glass in the roads.
  3. Thanks but after removing the four end screws, it was still tight. I even tried a rubber hammer to the outlet. Nothing. I didn't want screw it up.
  4. Hope this don't sound too stupid but my Yosh slip-ons have four screws on either end. To take the cans apart, after removing the screws, does the end cap come off or does the outer sleeve slide off? If someone has done this already, it might make my life just a little easier.
  5. What do you charge you for something like that?
  6. Some people think that changing a rear tire on a Bird is a pain. You should try it on a Goldwing. Here is what I am doing.
  7. Check this out Rich. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=35595
  8. Don't mean to change the topic here but.... So at the strip, are you shifting at 9,500 to get the best quarter mile times?
  9. Wow, I thought that I was over the top with replacing fluids. You have me beat.
  10. My cans rubbed on the swing arm, so I put a couple washers in back of brackets that the cans mount to.
  11. desserbird Where are you from?
  12. No need to repack after about four years. My 97 doesn't have a O2 sensor but I don't think a slip-on would bother it.
  13. That is what I have on my 97. Look good, high quality and sound better than stock. They must help the HP some because you can look straight through them and the stock ones are really pugged up.
  14. It is in the April Sport Rider Magazine.
  15. Did any one see the piece in Sport Rider called CUP FEVER: THE SV650 PROJECT? He had a stock motor and dynoed the bike and put higher octane gas in and it dynoed higher. You have to read it to get the full story.
  16. If I can suggest a second thing: change the pads before they eat the rotors.
  17. I have Yosh slip-ons and want my packing to blow out.
  18. Yea, just did mine Sunday. I think the worst part is worrying about getting the brake juice on the paint.
  19. http://www.partsmag.com/news_items/2003-De...2-22-item2.html Have you seen the new tire that Bridgestone is putting out? It is going to be on the new CBR1000. I think I will try it when I need some new skins.
  20. They look good. I wish my Yosh were a little louder. Were they priced about the same as the others?
  21. Did high air pressure or low pressure cause the cupping? Does anyone run the Bridgestone 012?
  22. It sure seems like a lot of people have trouble with Avons.
  23. Not sure what "stick coils" are both if you read down in the instuctions, it says it will work on two coil bikes. Yea, I guess Top Fuel riders are sissys for using wheelie bars and others are whimps for using two steps, strapping the front, etc.
