  1. Sorry mickcbr1100, The rare tyre is not BT20 but BT56. This is made in Japan and has DOT and some No. I'll note the No. to see the manufacture date. How is this BT56? I asked the tyre guy to fit BT20. I guess he did not have BT20 and without asking me he fitted BT56.
  2. Last week I got my tyres changed. The front is BT 14 and rear BT 20. Here in UAE the normal price if tyres are between $325 to 400 with balance and fitting. I got this for much less price $ 217 with balance and fitting. The shop guy told me its 2003 manufacture. Since he sold me for less my friend asked me to check the manufacture date on tyres, it could be older. I checked the tyres but could not find any marking such as 03 or 04 which would indicate the manufacture year according to my friend. Can some one tell me where is this mention on tyres or its not mentioned? Thanks
  3. Hi, It's time to change my BT57 tyres and planning to go for AV 45&46. I would like to know if these tyres can sustain the tremendous heat between 40-45 deg centigrade. It sometimes reach to 50 deg but I would not be riding that time. I am in middle east, Abu Dhabi, capitol of UAE. Bridgstone tyres did well but like to change the brand for better handling. Can you suggest any particular brand for hot condition or will Avon be fine? Thankyou. Henry
  4. Sorry my mistake. It's not 2004 but 2000 model. I am in middle east, Abu Dhabi, capitol of UAE. Since its the end of winter, it wasn't that hot. Maybe 28 degree celcious. This problem started only after the braking practise. I am going to change the tyre next month. After next month the summer will start and I'll not be riding, maybe once a week for short rounds. Is it adviceable to change the tyres after summer which is the riding season? Here the winter starts from November to March, the rest is summer. May to September is unbearable and the temperature go up to 45 degree. Henry
  5. Hi everybody. My name is Henry. I am a regular visitor of this forum from last 4 years. This is my first post on this forum. Hope you guys will help me. I have a 2004 BLACK blackbird. and done 15000 km on it. Last week I did some practise riding with some fellow bikers which included cornering and braking. After some heavy breaking I have noticed the rare tyre wiggles when breaking, even at slow speed. This has really scared me off. This ia a factory fitted Bridgestone tyres. Even though 4 years old the tyre has lots of meat on it. I am a smooth rider and never break hard. Do you think this problem is due to the hard breaking and uneven wear on the break pads? Do I need to change the pads or polish it? Or do I have to change the tyres? I only ride 4-5 months in a year due to the heat in Abu Dhabi-UAE. Thankyou all in advance.
