  1. How could polishing hurt them?
  2. I myself prefer to take the tank off. Gives you more room to look around. You could also throw in some new spark plugs while you are there.
  3. Would you compare it to turning up the timing in a old carbed muscle car? If so, it would feel a little crisper, snappier. Not night and day just better. Right?
  4. Dah-Thanks Peter. Sometime you can't see the forest for the trees.
  5. What gas do you run and any pinging?
  6. Joe, how did you find the package deal for $32.00 at ronayers? Do they also have deals like this on other multi parts?
  7. How about if you shimmed the back 3 mm and dropped the front 3 mm's?
  8. You can get girls naked and take pictures to post here but can't find a washer to slip under your shock?
  9. That's a good idea
  10. That is what I used on my trailer without the rubber insert. It gets used weekly without any trouble. I have never tried them in the truck bed though.
  11. Would any one happen to know, on the new RR, right before the muffler, there is a flapper valve with two cables hooked to it. What is the purpose of it? None of the slip-ons (that I know of) has this. Is it for low rpm throttle response? Would you lose you low end by putting a slip-on it? Thanks.
  12. This is most important. Pull the bike into the chock using the straps. You can't use too many straps for me. You know, just in case.
  13. Thanks Joe. I dropped the rear 1" with a dog bone and slide the tubes 8 & 1/2 tenths to start. I guess I should go a little more down in the front looking for the twitchy feeling and back it off a hair. I would rather it be a little slow turning in than it doing something strange at 160 mph! BTW-dealing with the bike day in and day out, I love the lowered stance.
  14. Would dropping the front instead of raising the rear do the same thing?

  16. Yea, I was thinking of getting new rubbers too. Thanks Joe.
  17. You can use a Strap Wrench from Sears plus you can use it around the house also.
  18. The first time I changed mine, I thought "what did I get myself in to? But, the more you do it, the better you get. I never tried the knife thing though!
  19. That will teach you not to play with your little thing.
  20. I don't know the size but there is a wrench in the tool kit that will work. Might have to put a pipe on it though.
  21. Put the 208 on it. If it doesn't feel right, put a 208 on the front also. Next time, you can put Bt57 on both ends.
