    BMW SPORT GRIPS

I didn't like them, they started to harden after time and look brittle.

    Tires

Dave, get the 45/46 combo. Although the BT 57's are cheap at 411. I had them on my 1000f and liked them alot. CBR-RR-XX-ESS, call the AVON 1-800 number off their site. Speak with a guy named John in customer service. I don't have the number on hand, or i would post it. Sorry.

    Tires

Dave, I would still go with the 45/46 combo. The front has 4mm depth left on it with a little over 400 miles and no cupping. The rear was determined to be a "test" tire, that's why it wore out so fast, and also that's why Avon wanted the whole tire back not just a piece cut out of the tire with the DOT number. I have around around 500 miles on the rear and some of the nubs are still on the tire.
  4. I'm looking for a swingarm to fit an '01 bird. I don't know if all years are interchangable. What i would like to do is, get a swingarm from someone, polish it, the replace the one on my bike and put the polished one on, so i don't loose no riding time. If anyone is interested, post or PM me. For some kind of payment, i could polish the swingarm that i'm sending back, or something.
  5. When i just got my bike inspected, my back brakes were worn more than the fronts?? Why is that?
  6. Call Traxxion and talk to mr fitzgerald, he'll give you the lowdown. I have the 1300lb spring. And i weigh 300 lbs. I think my shock is the 8900.
  7. You should of gotten the aluminum weave.
  8. Does anybody know what the cross over, or part number is for an after market oil filter for the bird? The Honda filters are like 11 - 12 bucks. I would like to go into a K-Mart or Wal Mart and just pick one up cheaper.
  9. Kerosene. WD40 will actually keep your chain lube from getting where it's suppose to go. That's just what i read in motorcyclist mag.
  10. They're both Michelin's and you want a stickier tire up front.
  11. Everyone, back away from the crack...............it's bad for you.
  12. 'member to wrap a shop rag around the caliper so you don't scratch the rim like Joe said and also use a big screwdriver between the brake pads and spread them apart to get the pistons to go back in. It'll be easier to put the caliper back on then.
  13. XXers, i had 0/32's when my tire was at 3400 miles, then rode it until 3600 miles. My buddy, that some people will remember from the NEXXT ran the 010/020 combo on his 1200 Bandit and got 10,000 miles out of them.
  14. Does anybody know if you can do the conversion to the 520 kit on the BB?
  15. It sounds like the oil is doing it's job fine. Check the color at 5000 miles then make a decision when to check it again.

  18. You're making me cry Dave.
