  1. Unless you have a typo in what you just said, try again with 2020. Either way there are indeed a bunch of much more expensive options, which have no better claims than the cheaper ones. It's actually where I started. Places like Coober Racing will sell you a $1k package that seems to be not really better than the Chinese exhaust and add-on programmers. But that's why I posted here, for opinions otherwise. If you see something you like for a 2020, post a link and let me know what you like about it. Several things everyone seems to agree on: Fueling is very good to start, but slightly lean. Therefore, a programmer alone can slightly improve things. Airbox breathes ok, opening it just makes noise (Coober disagrees and sells a kit, but makes no actual measured claims). Resonator box is retarded EU noise bullshit, cat is the usual cat, with a slight restriction. Removing the cat means you MUST get something to richen it, or you will either go into an error state or fry the motor. But refer back to the above, that's step one anyway.
  2. Moriah will be deathly ill from beef, but not any of the others. We theorize it could be the garbage and hormones given to factory cows. But the results are too painful to try an experiment with clean beef. It's four hours of "basically worse than being in labor." That sums up my joint pain, and other little things I/we all take for granted. You don't know the cost of eating milk and cheese until you spend many months feeling good, try it, and realize what we do to ourselves. Back on topic, my D levels keep going down, while I'm still taking 10k daily (or sometimes I forget, and do 20k following day). I should get another test soon.
  3. You're onto something there. I don't know it exactly, but I've seen reference to this exact thing by nutritionists. Yesterday and today I had something like early-ish (10:30) because I am going to be doing things for the day and both want some energy and won't have time to eat. I feel bloated now.
  4. If you want non-cow for coffee, you should buy the ones sold for coffee. It's made very differently. It will also foam, I've been told. Almond in coffee is very thin and weird. Coconut does better (and no, doesn't taste like coconut). Oat milk seems to be the best all-around option. Remember to shake the hell out of it before use. Moriah says the vanilla almost is the best in cereal. I haven't tried it. This morning she commented that butter now tastes "pretty bad" after going around six weeks without it. She's been using plant-based "butter" and now the cow stuff was just greasy and overbearing. I tried what she was having, which I tried with plant stuff, and felt like all flavors were drowned out by the butter.
  5. I have no idea when holidays are or the sports ball things, I sure as hell do not know when leap year happens. I figured it was a way to celebrate/harness leap year.
  6. Most people with normal range BP don't see a massive change, just "more normal." I was always 129/85 to 130/87 before the massive diet change, and now nearly always right at 125/85 or 127/86. At 130 the doctor says "you don't want it any higher" and now it's "perfect."
  7. Also, while I saw it was on the 29th, I just figured it was a leap year. So I said that to someone last night. But still, do it.
  8. Ah, ok, so is the goal/purpose here a mental challenge, or to improve health? Two different goals, right? And if it's a caffeine addiction thing, then most tea is out? Or can I replace the coffee with a couple huge mugs of strong black tea? Anyway, I'm in. But I'm not sure I count since I already do most of it, LOL.
  9. It should smell only as bad as on a cold start, right? Which I've never noticed at all. I'm leaning to the cat delete. I haven't found an ECU flash option for the later years. It seems like the ECU got locked or whatever, as all the options I find end at 2018 or 19 (before the Adventure model, which has a different program than the RC/Duke 390).
  10. Also note that it takes about three weeks for an elimination diet to work, maybe five. So anyone expecting to see magic in a week will be disappointed. That said, cutting salt and processed junk was noticeable in my joint pain in a week-ish. I'm just now getting back to feeling normal after Salton Sea weekend and junk food.
  11. I do 3/5 all the time, one randomly, but never the other. Hmm. Why coffee? How is that junk? I've yet to see anything correlating it with something bad, unless you drink a ton or fill it with sugar and milk. And does decaf count?
  12. I picked up a cat-back system for the KTM (390 Adventure), which most people say makes a tiny difference in driving, but not much. You drop a lot of weight and remove this retarded huge resonator that makes the exhaust sound a little bit "off" and heats up the rear shock a lot. Common wisdom on all the 390 forums is that you can run this without a programmer, or you can pick up a little zip and better manners, such as off-idle response, with a programmer. So my two discussion points are which programmer, and do the cat delete too, or not? "Everyone" says that you gain around 7% HP and 10-13% torque if you do it all. But more importantly, the people who have done it say there's just more low-down zip and improved drivability. The engine is great as is, but there's always the fucking dragon to chase, right? This has a couple good reviews, and is inexpensive. The 'Murica made version is $350. There are design differences but I can't discern whether there's any effective difference. Probably not. And then, there are three programmers most commonly available for the 390. https://www.boosterplug.com/shop/boosterplug-ktm-390-864p.html Boosterplug, $170 shipped. It works by connecting to the airbox air temp sensor and modifying the signal to it. I can envision how this works, but have never heard of it before now. I believe it can work in both closed loop and open loop ECU modes (not sure if that's true). https://www.bestdualsportbikes.com/ktm-390-fuel-programmer-instructions Best Dual Sport Bikes, $250 shipped but currently shows out of stock. These guys talk up a good game, not sure how much to believe. Highly programmable and claimed to be self-learning. They specifically note that it boosts accelerator pump function for a crisper throttle transition. It goes between the injector wire and injector, so it can affect open and closed loop running. https://powertronicusa.com/products/powertronic-fuelx-pro-autotune-fuel-optimizer-ktm-adventure-390-250 Powertronic FuelX Pro, $180. This one goes between the O2 sensor and its connector, which I assume means it can only work in closed loop. Wouldn't the ECU ignore the O2 sensor other than in closed loop? So whack the throttle, and the sensor is ignore? Tunable and auto learning, with the option for a handlebar switch to choose two mappings. https://powertronicusa.com/products/powertronic-ktm-adventure-390-2020-2022 Powertronic V4, $330. The most comprehensive, it plugs into everything so it can access everything. So the install is harder, but I'm going to do this at the same time I do an electronic cruise so the bike will be apart anyway. It says it changes timing, and is the only one to claim a rather high dyne-proven HP improvement. Other than cost, this seems like the choice. "If it's worth doing, it's worth over-doing." It is highly tunable with an app, and firmware updatable.
  13. So what is "concealed" in your state, any idea? Do you carry your auto, and how?
  14. Apparently, at least for one hothead driven by a pointless grudge and unable to see the point of the OP at all. One of the oil test places did a bunch of comparisons of diesel oil in "every" machine they could find in their data, and they all seemed just fine.
  15. Honey or a bit of raw sugar in coffee, once a day, is mostly my only sugar consumption. Never been a cream guy, but Moriah used to make milk foam for coffee, and an unflavored macchiato is my idea of decadence.
  16. They started selling Honda polish in their dealers so their riders wouldn't have the embarrassment of walking into a Honda dealer.
  17. All the evidence from doctors and nutritionists says that cow juice is bad for most people. The dairy industry has studies that prove it's good for you. Go figure. Pick your sources. Overall though, if you gain enjoyment from it, then it's just one of the compromises we make. I don't enjoy it much, and once being 100% clean of it, I could see the little problems it caused when I had some, so fuck it. Nope. We know for sure that routine milk and cheese fucks up Moriah's gut, so it's all out, why not.
  18. Yeah, it pasted fucked up. Columns are: State Private Ownership Sale Open Carry Concealed Carry Balisong considered same thing? So you can have one at home in CA, but not in public unless it's under 2".
  19. The beard comb above might be the most retarded. I don't think anyone could make a claim for the value, compared to my $15 version. Well, mine isn't full auto, just assist.

  21. So an auto knife is legal in CO but an 11 round mag is not? Kinda surprised. Also now wondering how many states outlaw autos?
