  1. There's an Iridium plug. CR9EHVX-9 is stock Platinum. CR9EHIX-9 is Iridium.
  2. You need to put it on a server somewhere, and then put the URL in your profile. If you don't have a web server to put it on, e-mail it to me and I'll put it on this server. It must be under 8k and properly sized.
  3. No, the mirrors point down at the ground... I have seen flashing lights immediately after a wheelie a couple of times though, how did you know??
  4. No complaints at all. The rear has 3k with minimal wear. The front has 4-5k and has perfectly even wear (as all Avon fronts always do).
  5. They should be in the backup file, but they can't easily be restored. They could be searched manually, I think, and then the text could be cut/pasted into a document. So if you have something you need out of there, let me know and I'll search for it. A good keyword or specific phrase would help.
  6. Ask your dealer to give you a good trade on the stock (fucking crap) tires before you even take it out. See the tire threads around here for other options. Personally I'm very sold on the Avon AV45/AV46-ST. Lots of grip, great handling, long life. The stock tires are just horrible. Second item on my list would be the fork springs, unless you weigh around 130 pounds. Third would be Race Tech fork valve kits (both kits). BTW, have I mentioned that the stock tires SUCK?! And did you just imply that this is your first motorcycle???
  7. I've been touching the exhaust canisters down with no sliding. The only limitation is that I can't just hammer the throttle out of turns, have to bring it on smoothly. That's my trade-off for the mileage. Personally I'm all about cornering speed and lean, much more than raw acceleration.
  8. Use the lock LONG before you get sore.
  9. That's a common issue. Many bike/tire combos do this. I haven't seen it with the 45/46, but did with a 39/36. It often is an indicator that your steering head bearings are too loose, so check those.
  10. Or drop in a stock filter and forget about it...
  11. Clear your IE cache, it should fix the problem. If you get an error during the cache clearing, you have corruption. I can send you a document that helps you clear that.
  12. I manually activated the account; it should work fine now. Please let me know if there's still a problem.
  13. The tread grooves are so big you can feel them at very slow speeds (under 10 MPH). No big deal. On freeways and rough pavement there are no issues. I'm at 3k miles as of today, and they hardly have wear. I know I'll get over 6k from the rear. I love the handling and grip.
  14. If I hump the tank... But by wheelie I mean wheel in the sky. Doesn't do it with just a light lift from acceleration.
  15. Personally I use my Pocket PC as an MP3 player. If you have any use for a pocket computer, this is a good way to get both in one. If you don't, then it's not worth the extra expense. A decent PPC can be had for $200 and a 512MB card for just over $100.
  16. In the last couple of days, I've had the FI light come on and stay on during wheelies. It goes off a couple seconds after I put it down. It doesn't seem to have any problem, but the light is on. This worries me since having the FI do something stupid while in a wheelie could have pretty negative consequences. Anybody ever seen this?
  17. Cool. I can't help you with the project, but I'll be glad to help you break it in!
  18. My brother owns the machine from Harbor Freight ($90). It makes changes about as easy as you can, but I still just don't think it's worth the hassle.
  19. It's not really a wheelie if you can still see the road over the dash.
  20. This may be working for you, but lots of people have fucked up their filters using compressed air to dry them. K&N warns against this. When I had a K&N I used the K&N spray cleaner and the filter oil. It is important to use FILTER OIL! It is NOT the same as a regular oil; in fact, it's more like a non-drying glue.
  21. There is no account for "StretchXX" and there is one "Stretch" which is activated and functional. If you're still having a problem, give me details on what happens when you try to log in (specific error message).
  22. All of it is in a backup file which is not restorable (it's actually a text file, you can open it and read it). Someone with better database skills could probably make it usable. Tweety had said he might be able to when he's not so busy. So, we have the data, we just can't restore it as posts right now.
  23. You're not supposed to use it as that kind of lubricant...
