  1. ...email might be an option. I emailed him.....
  2. ...but it should be. https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/mcy/4459165679.html ....Then there's this guy "text me". WTF? http://gulfport.craigslist.org/mcy/4471998293.html
  3. My knees bang into the back of the XX lowers - sometimes quite uncomfortably. The lowers on the VFR look like it would go beyond pain.
  4. That's looking close to what I'm in search of also: http://www.motosport.com/motorcycle/ALPINESTARS-BLACKTOP-RIDING-SHOE I wore a 13 most of my life. The last few pair of street shoes I've bought - I've gone with 14's Anyone have ideas of how Alpinestars run?
  5. Dude, WTF? ....barium enema mix, or what? Wow. Those Gasolinas are a bunch of nice looking models - The Combat lites sound right along the lines I'm looking for. Do they get hot in a poorly air conditioned office? http://ultimatemotorcycling.com/aerostich-combat-lites-motorcycle-boot-review/
  6. I have a pair of Tony Lamas that are pretty comfortable on the bike. Shark skin - third set of soles, they wear like iron. I had considered that. The T.L.s would be tough to squeeze my knees under the desk with the heels.... Just get another pair of step in Italians to leave under the desk maybe.
  7. My penny loafers just don't feel really safe. They slide on the gravel in the parking lot and don't offer any ankle protection at all. ....bigfoot size range BTW. Looking for function/not overly sporty look. Do any of you guys have favorite brands/styles that you use? TIA, Bill
  8. If it was in a Mustang, it should have had a roller cam which is a different beast. It was just an oil change in an old F150. Diesels really hammer on bearings and oil. I would think gas engines wouldn't be as tough on oil.
  9. I just did son no. 3's 1989 302 yesterday. I used Mobile 1 15W 40. It said it was rated for diesel apps, I was hoping I didn't use something with too high a viscosity.
  10. Me too. I just picked up a '96 Accord last week. It has the same sun-burnt whale paint job. ....black, sunroof, leather, AC needs charge. Son no.2 likes the MPGs though.
  11. PMs exchanged ..... We picked up a winter beater for no. 1. He's getting a spankin' used T100 with only 172K on it. ...after that debacle, wifey mentioned a gas sipper for me/no. 3 to take to BB practice about 1-1/2 hrs south of here. What are the mpgs? I really don't see this a an economy vehicle, but it's fun to discuss - and the thread needed a bump anyway. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3khH9ih2XJg
  12. I just had the kill-switch cleaned and lubed on the Hurricun. Junior rode it down to put gas in it and it didn't start back up at the pump. ...trucked it up to the shop. My mechanic friend also sprayed some lube in the dimmer switch while he was at it..
  13. My boss was the same way, late 80's. He wouldn't put a gun in your hand until you'd done a few months hand nailing everything. Decking, underlayment, shingles. You learn to use a hammer pretty quick when you're working by the square and there are guys with guns to keep up with. It sucked at the time, but I've thanked him since for bringing me up right, as I know now that actually costs an employer money initially. No problem, Phillip. Here's the only practice you need- reach as high as you can on a wood wall with your off hand, up on your tippy toes. Then use the gun in your strong hand to nail your off hand to the wall. Not only will this exercise bring to bear a specific set of problem solving skills, it will instill the appropriate respect for the tool. More direct and to the point. Keep your Phucking thumb out of the way. I've seen more than one guy have to take a staple out. Bonus, they are hot and burn on the way in and until your flesh cools them off. not that you will notice they've cooled off. You have safety glasses also, I presume? (They are fun to run though)
  14. what fan is the 2nd one? I like the size of it, and it looks like a stock fan. Right, OEM - what vehicle? Honda Accord?
  15. I searched "auxiliary": http://www.cbr1100xx.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=53662&page=2&hl=auxiliary#entry949870
  16. I was just going to do that...... ....was. BDAZ XX - very nice work.
  17. It's gorgeous. You'll find a buyer. My lottery ticket didn't come in......
  18. 210HP? ...and teenagers.... Woo Hooo! Showed it to the wifey - she just asked if it was AWD. From what I can tell - and correct me please - Eclipse line was all front-wheel drive.
  19. I should not come to the For Sale section on this forum, ...kid at the local VW stealership is trying to sell me a Jetta with a half a million miles for $7,000.. Can a six-four orangutan fit into that?
  20. So, rockmeupto125, are your babies warm out there? ..never got to hear how the heating project went. I hope well.
  21. I have some lowers - different brand. How do they fasten down to the bike? Can you post a pic? BTW - http://www.cbr1100xx.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=82622#entry967279
  22. Red, black, blue, TITANIUM, custom - yellow, pearl white.... ....got nay pics?
  23. No winning numbers. ....not a good plan I guess.
