vrodguy12
How often should they be replaced my bike is a 1999 and has 34k. I believe they are the original bearings.
partsman
There is no magic #,depends on how much water, grit etc gets past the seals.Next time you take a wheel off, rotate the inner roller around and feel for friction.
The Krypt Keeper
if you haven't changed them by 50k I would do so. Cheap and easy preventive maintenance. Think I had 25k on my '02 when the front started going bad 4 hours from home

Zero Knievel
80K+ on mine...never replaced a one, but I do need to remember to play with them next time I have the wheels off...just to check if they are getting worn.
Mikey
Yes, it's important to play with your balls. Don't let anyone tell you different.

Don't buy trash! +3 Get the # off the bearings before you pull them. Any bearing house will have them. I don't think we make bearings in the US anymore, japan had the best ones when I was redoing mine a couple of years ago.
