RC Randy
After installing Galfers front lines on my Busa last week, I'm looking to do the same for my 99XX with 75K. Want to keep the LBS system, and don't want to do the complete kit since I rarely use the rear. Ive done a search here and on the .com, but not finding much info on just the front only. Anyone do this and know where to purchase the front only kit?

Warp11XX
I seem to recall that cyclebrakes.com will do custom stuff on request. I've had good dealings with them in the past.
jon haney
Randy, you can get the Galfer 2-line kit for the front only and still keep the stock hoses for the rest of the LBS. It is also long enough to accommodate VFR bars. If you want, you can come ride mine and see if you would rather go with the de-link. It doesn't require any extra brake lines, saves a couple of pounds, and is pretty easy to do, especially if you have help. :icon_wave: I have lots of extra banjo bolts we can modify to plug the unused holes. Let me know if you're interested.

I just recently had a problem with my rear pedel going soft and it ended up being the secondary master cylinder. A kit fixed it and alls good except for the front hoses showing their age. One question- when you delink, are you using just the top pistons only? Somehow I wasn't bringing up the 2 line XX kit on my search. I'm going to get a set and see what it does. You have two options with de-link. 1. Install the 2-line kit up front, plug the ports for the center pistons, and then move one of the rear brake hoses from the proportioning valve directly to the rear pedal master cylinder. Up front, you will be using the outer 2 pistons on each caliper. I rode mine this way for a couple years, plus several track days, without issue. 2. Later on, I decided to put new seals in the front calipers. While I was in there, I drilled a hole to connect the middle cylinder with the outer two (per instructions found on this sight). Now I have all six pistons working and lever effort was reduced maybe 25%. The down side is you will need a bigger (5/8") master cylinder, like from a CBR600F4I. I have a 14mm master from a Super Hawk that worked, but had a little more lever travel than I wanted. With a Pazzo lever, it may be okay. I'll let you have the Super Hawk master for free, if you decide to try the full monty. Get the 2-line kit installed, see how you like it, and then ride mine for comparison. If you decide to de-link, I'll be happy to help.
