redxxrdr
I pulled out my reciept from Cogent to see what they used. It shows "Spectro shock fluid VL". It doesn't specify weight. A search of the Garage showed suggestions of 5 to 10 weight. My mind thinks 7.5 weight is what went with the Penske cartridges. But that was quite a while ago. Longer than I want to admit. I hope Joe or Hank will post up with more seasoned recomendations.
XXMAN
I think it's gonna be 7.5 thanks for all your help.

rockmeupto125
Thanks for pulling this up, guys...sorry I missed it. I've been pleased with a 50-50 mix of the two Honda fork oils. Only from memory, one was 5wt and the other was 10wt, so theoretically the mix was 7.5, although it wouldn't surprise me if some quirk of oil law made it something slightly different. I've experimented with some ATF's as well, with interesting results. I'm hoping that my varied results and difficulty interpreting them is more a function of the vastly different roads and surfaces here in PA, rather than a serious numbness concerning what information comes back from my front wheel. Why ATF? A much greater range of viscosities, and about 1/4th the price. Fork oil is damned expensive unless you buy it in 5 gallon lots. rockertom
I am running the Sonic 1.1's in the forks. Used 10w with a 1/2" over book recomendation for height. I like the feel that this gives me on the frontend. No other mods to the forks.
