DaveK
Ya giving up drinking? I very rarely drink these days and when I do....it's not Bourbon. When I drink Bourbon it's in very small amounts and with my current healthier lifestyle I'd rather go to the gym then sit and drink at home. I dust the bottles off weekly and each time I wish someone/anyone would/would enjoy it like I did. I am keeping 20 of the 50 bottles of Bourbon I currently have (special ones) on top of the other 60 bottles of Vodka, Rum, Teq, and cordials I have. Not to mention the 300 bottles of wine

TOXXIC
I would take them all too if shipping wasn't such a bitch. I love bourbon, but Washington state taxes booze like it was liquor taken from Obama's personal stash.
Fiona
I wonder if all that bourbon would fit into my little car... hum... how the hell would I pack it so it wouldn't get knocked around during the 600 mile trip home.. hum...blankets.. hum.... Looks like people are getting closer to your reserve... hum....

The one bottle of Elijah Craig 18year was bottles in 1990 and I know is about $80-$90 alone. The Eagle Rare 10 goes for $35-40 each. Right there is my reserve. I have a '98 Escort I'm driving out to Jersey/NYC in a few weeks for vacation. It rides rough and has a small trunk. I'm very tempted but oh so nervous about the bottles taking an abusive ride back to Michigan

I'm very tempted but oh so nervous about the bottles taking an abusive ride back to Michigan Rent a nice Toyota Corrolla for the trip. Wouldn't it be nice not having to worry about that Escort breaking down? You'd have peace of mind all the way around.
Biometrix
I have a '98 Escort I'm driving out to Jersey/NYC in a few weeks for vacation. It rides rough and has a small trunk. I'm very tempted but oh so nervous about the bottles taking an abusive ride back to Michigan Just buy some bubble wrap & packing tape (The big bubbles not the teeny ones). Wrap a layer around each bottle & tape shut. You could stack them in the on the floor in the back if there's no room in the trunk. I think if five bottles of Saki can make it back from Japan in my luggage this way then you should be ok driving.
