Rashed the left lower and cracked the plastic at the lower stay, badly scratched the starter clutch cover, and lightly scratched left mirror shell. What's the color code or best way to match the case cover paint? I plan on stripping the entire cover and sanding/polishing to remove the scratches from the casting. What paint is best to use for them? Also, any brand name recommendations on plastic repair gloop to fix the crack in the lower? I've heard that the 3M stuff is really good. Had a lowside in Montana a couple years back and even if you got the code, the cost of fixing it would be prohibitive. Go to your Wal-Mart of auto parts store and grab a can of spray touch up. Dupli-Color DSGM344 (Gunmetal Metallic) works nicely. Comes out a darkish metallic gray. The Honda color is this greenish gray NOTHING will match. Just take off the side panels, remove bolts and screws (and oil fill plug) and do a very good masking job and you can spray it on the bike with no problem.
