myles Posted December 19, 2003 Share Posted December 19, 2003 I just bought a 1997 CBR1100 and wondering what upgrades are recommended. I like the look of the stock mufflers, but I would like the bike to be louder. Also, I noticed that there is a flat spot when shifting to second from about 4000 to 6000 rpm. After that it flies. Is this normal? Would a new exhaust with dyno jet kit fix this. I have heard that because this is a carbed model, I should expect it. Sorry about so many questions. I had to lose my centerstand, though I've read that you can mod the stand to work with them. The entire system weighs less than 1 can on the stock!
