runner
You could have a new Blackbird with the latest technology. What would it feature (other than busa- stomping ability). -1500+cc - Excellent aerodynamics - ABS with rider shutoff ability - (3) ignition maps/settings for rain/traffic, etc. What would you include? (Lets keep cost under $20k for now...) ps...I viewed the SR71 slideshow (again) and just got to thinking about our birds....
Zero Knievel
With gas prices and the touring option, I think bigger than current displacement isn't desirable unless some tech lets us save on gas for slabbing someplace.

Wockman
A Honda version of that new BMW K1300S would be a nice place to start... http://www.webbikeworld.com/BMW-motorcycles/bmw-k-1300-s/ I've ridden nothing but Hondas for more than 20 years but that BMW has me tempted to leave the fold. bunbun9090
Doesn't need to have a big CC, i believe Honda engineers is able to pump out a big BHP even the CC is at 1000CC only, it's only a matter of they wanna do it or not. What i want is: USD Fork Slipper Clutch Adjustable seat Most important is, good handling of the bike
jon haney
Don't really care about engine size as long as it makes at least 90 lb-fts of peak torque and 70 or more anywhere above 4000 RPM. USD Forks and better shock with full adjustments. Un-linked brakes....Anti-lock is okay as long as I have a switch to turn it off in the dry. A shorter reach to the bars would be nice, or better yet, front to rear adjustable (like BMW). Let's just say adjustable everything! Now for the hard part: At least 50 lbs. lighter!!!!!!! P.S. More than one color choice in the same model year would be nice.
runner
One more requirement (at least for me). GT provisions as an option (ala Kawasaki or BMW). Comfort and weather protection are important....

I know WAY too many folks that have been burned by Beemer K-bikes to even be remotely interested, myself. Technology and gadgets are great, but long-term reliability is more better-er.. What do you mean, "That's not a Hyper-Tourer anymore"?! The only thing I mentioned that even comes close to a CBR1000RR is the shorter reach to the bars and maybe the lighter weight, and that would be more like 100 lbs. lighter. I thought I would be somewhat realistic by only asking for 50 lbs. I guess I should have also asked for a factory hard luggage option. Would that be touring enough for ya? Para045
P.S. More than one color choice in the same model year would be nice. Just move to another country for that Better more adjustable suspension (ie USD forks/Ohlins shock) made for more normal people (ie fat fuckers like me ) not little Japs :icon_think: Standard High Output Stator and HID's Factory hard luggage option Slightly less weight would be nice Adjustable bars and pegs 1400cc & Busa killing power and torque but not at a stratospheric rev range Variable mapping (As I guess it will be FI) Optional ABS Better/more comfortable/adjustable seating Adjustable or optional screens Maybe a lighter and slightly nicer note to the exhaust without being too noisy
