county
I duuno if I posted about this but in late Sep I collided with a German shepherd and his head and shoulder broke the right lower and front fairing/cowl. Anyway the insurance co is sending a check and Ron Ayers is the cheapest I've seen. Suggestions or comments. (About the repair parts, not the dog) Also, anything to look out for when removing and installing the cowl. Your consideration is much appreciated. Zero Knievel
A fix and repair that looks darn good can be had at www.empiregp.com. Bob Brown can do most fixes for less than replacement plastics will cost you.
BackStreet
A fix and repair that looks darn good can be had at www.empiregp.com. Bob Brown can do most fixes for less than replacement plastics will cost you. I checked out the website. The pictures look great. They have the only custom sport bikes that don't look like Harley gone sporty.
Zero Knievel
I know Bob personally (don't hold that against him ). He can do showroom quality and displays that to let people know how good he is, but he also can't be beat for Q&D (quick and dirty) repair work to damaged plastics. If you just want it fixed and painted the color they were before the crash (esp. only one color), that's an easy thing for him to do. RC Randy
If it makes any difference, Ron Ayers has free shipping in December.
LogoMan
I found Waynesville Cycle (www.carolinacycle.com) to be cheaper than Ron Ayers or anyone else. They give even lower prices than what's posted online which was a big surprise to me. The service has been fantastic. Give Leon a call and tell him Randy sent you. BobZ
Old thread but worthy of a comment: I just bought replacement mirror covers from Carolina Cycle and I checked all over first...best prices and good peeps.
Silverbird2
I don't know why everyone refuses to call Trasure Coast but they are the cheapest i've found (772-464-6385). Ask for Amy.
HANKSXXX
and another vote for Waynesville Cycle... I've been buying parts from them since I rode Yamaha FJ 1200's New ones...LOL
Emillard
I found Waynesville Cycle (www.carolinacycle.com) to be cheaper than Ron Ayers or anyone else. They give even lower prices than what's posted online which was a big surprise to me. The service has been fantastic. Give Leon a call and tell him Randy sent you. Wow, thanks for the heads up. I just checked their site and they are indeed the cheapest I've found. Simply replacing the left and right fairing seems to be cheaper than repainting them. All in all, our plastic is pretty cheap compared to some other bikes I've seen.
