WTB Bolt-on Swingarm extensions

Recommended Posts

I know several people that have used these at my local track long term and never had a problem.

The only issue I've heard of is legality. It forces you to go over 60" wheelbase on Birds and Busas, which takes you out of a lot of "streetbike" type races. The reason is that your rear axle cannot start until about an inch past where your current adjuster bolts are on your stock swingarm. That puts you at about 3.5-4" over stock chain adjustment range as a minimum. The bird is 58" stock wheelbase if I remember correctly, so you're at 62" approximately on the tight end. The breaks are 60, 64, and 68, with 68 being around Kent Stotz' bird range.

The classes I'm racing in (Pro ET & Super-gas) don't have any limitations. I thought about having the swing-arm extended, but I would actually feel safer with the bolt-on's and I would also have a heavier duty chain adjuster.

bolt on extentions if you can find a quality set would be fine, most cost around $275 and up. best solution would be to send it out and have billet extentions welded in. most charge around $450 stronger and safer.
