rockmeupto125
Does anyone have any of the HTS-2000 rods? I have a small repair to do and don't feel like dropping $65 to order from the company, or pay the $2.50 each plus $5 shipping from the eBay vendors. Anybody? airborneXX
Sweet ! I saw that stuff probably some 20 years ago... and still haven't bought any... but can't tell you why either. When I first got into the refrigeration business 15 years ago a supply house gave me a couple of sticks with similar claims to try out. I wound up with a couple of melted sticks on the floor
porterb123
Joe, I've got a few Forney specialty brazing rods for alum. if your interested. They take 750F heat to melt. Don't know if they are as good as the ones you mentioned though.
rockmeupto125
Thanks, Porter. I don't think I can rub my hands together that fast!
Fast Eddy
Do you guys think that would work with a mapp gas torch? Or would that not be hot enough? I have a rear brake lever that is cracked and Honda want a mint for a new one.
rockmeupto125
MAPP would be fine for that application.

jon haney
I have a rear brake lever that is cracked and Honda want a mint for a new one. Get a used one off of Ebay. It is not worth the hassle and uncertainty of trying to weld it.

If you happen to have a rear lever for a 929 I would gladly take it off your hands. Sudden thought, do the XX and 929 use the same rear brake lever? I will have to go look. Edit... Nope, not the same But I do have some of these HTS2000 rods coming :icon_thumbsup:
