I've only used mine on motorcycle tires, and I still agree: You need to have it bolted to the floor.

I just hand changed 4 tires on my gocart (which has wheels off of a golf cart on it, tubeless type), and even with that much sidewall, it was a major PITA. Never again will I complain about how much it costs to get my motorcycle tires changed at a shop.

As an alternative, you could build a cross-shaped base out of 2 X 8 wood and bolt it to that. I made mine 5 foot by 5 foot and works well, but it's a pain to work around and store.

I've got concrete inserts in the garage floor with very short carriage heads bolts as covers to keep the dirt out.

Great minds think alot....even if you are short as shit :icon_evilgrin:
