Well I finally had my 99 Blackbird on a Dyno last night.

132.44 HP MAX.

It has Two Brothers Slip Ons & a K&N filter.

Is that average or what?

That sound about right. when I had mine base lined with the same set up (2002) it came in at 124 hp, mine was pretty soft

It appears lower than normal, the Bird should make about 135 rwhp stock and about 140 rwhp with non-restrictive mufflers. What kind of dyno did you visit? The usual Dynojet 250 bench or a Factorypro EC997 Eddy Current Dyne System?

12,500 RPM hum I don't know which Bird you have but I thought red line was 10,500. At least that is what mine is anyway. 182.43 RWHP that is impressive. I didn't think a 23 tooth sprocket would fit you must get killer gas MPG.

Way to go Pat. sounds alittle low but only by a few ponys. Do you have a power comander? or was Kerry cheap?

I got 129 with stock everything but for the K&N and a PCII. I put a full Akropovic system on and remapped the PC and got 142.3. As we all know dyno results will vary greatly from run to run. But I'm happy with my results none the less.

The other dyno run with the stock set up was 131.6

I dyno tuned my carbed 98, full two bros, k&n, & dynojet stage 1 (140 outers, 142 inners, 4th clip up) and got:

146.76 hp

83.45 mt

plus I (or rather my dyno guy) cleaned up that little extra rich spot on the low rpm range and I can now go almost 40 more miles per tank. that was the shocking thing to me. except I have hyosung needles in the carbs now too. we ran it 7 ways to sunday and they just gave us the best numbers.

a little low, my dyno 2 months ago all stock, 182.43 RWHP at 12,500 RPM. some have told me this was a little high. I am running a 23 tooth front what do you have. Ron

How much of an improvement did they find in both HP and TQ?

TQ I dont know, but I dynoed my bike last fall on a different dyno.

last year-

Stock header with D+D slip-ons, stock filter it made 138.98hp

this year-

Full 2 bro's exhaust, stock filter, Power Commander III. Tuned it made 145.31hp

I felt the biggest improvement in the lower RPM's, There is no longer a hesitation off idle, no more occasional pop at stops and quicker throttle response. The down side, I did lose about 15 miles to the tank to get to this point so if your more into mileage then max power you may want a different tune.
