Yup, wrong.

The only change was the front wheel changed in 99. Larger carrier (center hub) than the 96-98 Birds

Search for:

Marchesini

Carrozzeria

Galespeed

RC components

Either here or on Google.

Not a ton of selection in wheels, for the XX. I know Marchis, at least here, require ordering and a wait. Carrozzeria are probably available off the shelf. Galespeed are probably available from Japan, but are likely on the shelf there. RC, I have no idea.

The Marchis have a stock-esque cush drive. The others are a race cush drive and may/will wear faster than the stock on the XX. Most wheels will require a new sprocket in the rear.

97-98 front rotors are different from the 99-05 bikes. Carrozzeria and Galespeed offer 97-98 fronts, but not Marchi. Not sure about RC. If you have an early bike, and want to fit late wheels, you need new rotors and something with the axle/spacers (not sure what). If you want to buy early wheels for your early bike and will eventually want wave rotors, buy the waves (most waves are late wheels only) and wheels now, and buy them for a late model bike.
