Looks like that is a replacement for the muffler on a D&D full system and you would have to by the header
portion first unless you allready have one. As for loud, I don't think there is much doubt about that, lol.
165 hp worth of nitrous on a stock motor? :icon_duh:
Sounds like a guy I met at the track one night with a stock mustang and nothing at all done to it.
That car spun the tires the entire length of the track. I guess that gigantic bottle in the back was
original equipment on a 5.0
Not at all flaming you, just saying don't believe everything you hear.
I think first gear is a given on any bird. Second gear mine wouldn't even think about coming up without the clutch.
When I changed the gearing to 16 and 47 it would come up pretty easily above 6000 rpm. Then I went back
to the stock rear 16 and 45 and I think the slightly longer wheelbase makes as much difference as the taller gearing
but with a full exhaust now it can be coaxed up without the clutch but you gotta sit back chop the throttle and wack
it open at 7000 or just over. Above 8000 you will hit redline before it gets all the way up. That is in the typical
hot texas weather. Let the temperature drop though and the horsepower goes WAY up along with the front end
At the moment though she is sitting LOW. As long as you are not sitting upright you wack it wide open in first gear
and holy cow!! I can't wait to get to the track with some cooler weather and a better tire and see
what she will really do.
Stock I got 38-40 commuting with traffic and close to 50 freeway droning while laying on the tankbag.
When I am playing it drops to low 30's or if I am really having fun I have seen it in the high 20's
