BIG BOY
Does anybody run a 190 tire on their stock rim??? If so, what do you think on the handling difference, if any.
Pete in PA
I've never done it but from what I've heard don't. A 190 needs the 6.0 rim in all the tables from the tire mfg. On our 5.5 rim the 190 will be squeezed too tight and alter the contact patch. Trying to get more mileage from a bigger tire??
BIG BOY
Pete, just did a ride up past you on Wed, the 2nd. Ended up doing 300 miles that day.
GUMBYBOB
Mine had a 190 when I bought it (used). Felt great till I replaced it with a 180. BIG improvement. Much quicker turn-in in corners. The 190 needed more force to put it in corners. Looked cool, though.
SwampNut
I rode one that had a 190, sucked.
TOXXIC
I was just offered a free 190. Came off a buddy's GSXR1000, the set of Michelins only have 300 miles on them. Would free make dealing with the 190 worth while?
Hobicus
Ebay Even if you get $50 for it, that's $50 towards a new 180.
