Honda polish. Is there a better alternative. It's pretty cheap does an excellent job. and requires little effort. What do you use as a wax/polish for your ride?

I've used meguires three step wax and polish (looks great lots of effort)

Meguires detailer spray ( leaves a slight residue on black but looks great on most everything else)

And the old stand by Turtle Wax (Looks OK but not as good as it should)

So whats the best you have found for the Blackbird and please say what color yours is.........

I use Meguire's three step shit once or twice a year (clean/polish/wax), Plexus in between. I know everybody here loves the Honda shit, but I've tried it, and prefer the Plexus. Less residue, wipes off and polishes up easier.

You can prolly guess what color my bike is

Alright, I trust you guys enough to give up my secrets..

Clean the bike really well with something like 409 or

Armorall Cleaner. THEN do this:

1) Coat all plastic COMPLETELY with armorall protectant.

Use either the wipes, or the spray, COAT it.

2) Let it soak overnight and don't wipe off any excess

3) For the next 3-4 days completely wipe down any

excess protectant, smudges, fingerprints, etc. Do not

clean with any cleaners, just a dry cloth, or slightly

moistened rag.

4) Wipe & buff the every part covered above with a

soft cloth and WINDEX. Make sure to get all of the

smearing off after the wipedown.

Your bike will look showroom for 3-4 months, and any

waterspots or gunk will rub right off with a dry cloth.

Why?

The protectant penetrates the plastic and leaves a

very thin and transparent/clear coat (almost wet/liquid

in appearance)

The windex will clean this thin transparent coat and

evaporate "streak free" (why it works so well on glass).

Your bike will literally have that new/wet look 24/7.

It works miracles.

Wouldn't the amonia in the windex hurt the clear coat. I know you can't use it on window tint. If not the clear then the plastics? I've also been told by an old paint and body man that Dawn liquid detergent will take off old wax. I do this about once a year on all my vehicles. works great to get all that build up off.

As for pledge I'd have to see it to believe it.

Zaino is really expensive. I've seen it used and it is awesome. Fully senthetic and doesn't leave a build up like wax. It is actually better the more you put on. Some awesome stuff.

I actually have some questions about spEEDfrEEk's procedure myself, but I must remember that he let us in on his trade secret by his own grace. If he says it works, then I trust that it works. He doesn't have to get into the nitty-gritty chemical bonding, molecular decomposition, yadda-yadda details for me.
