arcticflipper
Just a quick question about soft luggage for the bird. Has anyone ever used soft luggage on a bird, what's the best make to use.... Tourmaster Sport? Top and saddle bags? Then also what is the possibility of getting purchasing it in the States and then shipping it to South Africa. We do not have a large selection of these acessories available here. Tourmaster does not ship or sell outside of the US.
Motor Psycho
I use Nelson-Rigg DLSB-500 Saddle bags and Ventura pack system. With those the wife and I can travel for a week with all we need. Both seem to be well made and durable. http://www.nelsonrigg.com/classic.htm http://www.ventura-bike.com/english/produc...stem/index.html
Squareman357
I use the DLSB-500 Saddle Bags with the RTB-500 Rear Tail/Tote Bag that appear at the bottom of Motor Psycho's link. That was my rig when I went to Cali. You can pack 2 weeks worth of gear, tools, and equipment in those and never look back. Very nice set up. chaserkeywest
Ive used the Tourmaster tail bag on several bikes including the Bird, they are great. But if I wasnt going to Beetle Bags I would go with the Ventura rack/bag system. A friend of mine had them on a Vmax and they are super. Wario
I'm very happy with my Givi T431 Arrow Saddlebags - Nice fit, nice price, easy to mount and take off...
arcticflipper
Fuck me the Beetle Bags are really nice but have you seen the price??? $1055.00 Shit man for that price I can just as well buy the OEM Honda Panniers + mounting bracket. Thanks for all the response, I've had a look at a couple of the suggested units. The Tourmaster Sportech series does look like the right thing for me. Now the problem that I have is getting them into South Africa. Is there anyone that I can send the money for to purchase them for me, and also to have a look at them and let me know if they would purchase these? I will pay for the units, as well as the shipping. We just can't get them here in South Africa, and no-one exports or sells them outside of the States. Help would greatly be appreciated. As far as I can remember there was someone who was coming out to South Africa, wanted to meet miss. Castle..... Maybe they can bring it with??? Well any help will be appreciated. arcticflipper
These are the Tourmaster bags that I'm looking for. http://www.tourmaster.com/product.html?sku=82-332 Sport Saddle bags and the top bag.
chaserkeywest
As I said in the PM the Beetle bags are much nicer than the OEM's Less room but much narrower and without the crap brackets that you stuck with the other hard bags, JMO. The Cortech stuff is top quality. I have both the SPORT tail Bag and the much larger round tail bag, both attach to the panners. Sport Bag is just that sportier, the larger tail bags have twice the useable room. Good luck
Pete in PA
I've got RKA, magnetic tank bag and tail bag. Between them more then enough room for me to tour on. the expandable parts work great, good quality. http://www.rka-luggage.com/
