Coolant all over the floor

 Walked out to the garage last night and there is coolant puddled under the bird. Not a little....alot, like 1-1/2 ft diameter. I don't know what happened, she just puked.

Any ideas what may have caused this? I can't imagine the the coolant froze but I suppose it's possible we did have a week a while back where it go down to like -25. I haven't checked the coolant, I always use the Honda 50/50 and last year I added some water wetter to try to get the thing not to overheat.

Rick, I always pull the Bird into the living room when the temps in the garage are low. It dipped into the 50s here the other night :poke:

Rick,

do you know where the coolant is coming from? Find the highest spot you can that has coolant on it. It may just be from a hose if a clamp isn't tight enough.

My car and truck both had coolant under them this year when it was -30. It was coming from under a hose clamp in both. The cold weather does that.

What you're describing does sound like more than a small leak. But you never know 'til you check the whole machine over.

It should be easy to trace the wet spot upwards and see where it's coming from.

Is your garage attached or not? If it is, it didn't get all the way down to -25.

How much did you dilute it you think? 50/50 is good down to -34F.

Garage not attached. Didn't dilute at all, Honda stuff it 50/50 outta the bottle. I almost think it was coming from the cap, but it was dark and I'll check it better when I get home this afternoon.
