  1. Looks like the Motion Pro. They work well. Kind of spendy I think. I paid around $24 for the Motion Pro.

I can't think of a single part that would interchange if you're talkin' hard parts. Seriously, the RC is committed. In the riding position, the way the engine makes it's power, and the way the suspension works. It's a pretty firm bike with stiff front springs,(1.05 stock) and plenty of compression. Steers quite nicely though despite it's weight. Solid as a rock at speed. Lots of power but wants to be revved, kinda like an inline. They run quite hot too. Also in my opinion they're crap if you ever ride in town or take a pillion. Not what the RC is really for so you get what you got. The SuperHawk makes a great street bike (except for the mileage). A little softer and more upright. I would also bet the Hawk makes more power than the RC up to about 6k. That's good for the street. It doesn't have the killer looks or pedigree though. The RC won the World Superbike and AMA championships as well as the 8 Hours of Suzuka. Well, I guess the riders won the races but you know what I mean.
  3. I have to ask. What is a throttle minister?
  4. Well, with readings like that everyone can feel good.
  5. Also, make sure you get the Symtec kit. It's better than the one Aerostich sells. Kimpex I believe. Your dealer can call and get the Symtec for you. That's what I did. It was $27.

I can see number (2) but not reason number(1). Why would you let your bike sit and idle 'til it's up to "operating temperature"? There's no such thing and that would cerainly do more harm than good. You will not damage anything by starting a modern bike or car and driving away. You can of course do what you want. It's a semi-free country.
  7. Try using the search. Also, use small increments when adjusting. 5mm or less.
  8. I'm still using the original battery in my 2000.It's almost six years old. I'll to to my dealer when I need to. I wouldn't buy a motorcycle battery at walmart. Hell, I wouldn't buy anything a walmart!
  9. Electric grips are good. But they would be much better with the hand guards as stated earlier. If you get heated grips get the ones from Symtec. They're much better than the Kimpex ones sold by Aerostich.
  10. You'll have to explain that to me. The force upon the spring will be the same at any speed. I guess if you get the correct rate I would prefer the straight rate springs such as the RaceTech as would most riders and racers.
  11. Also, the z-6 and the Diablo Strada must be the same tire.
  12. $250 is mucho for the bt-014. I could get them for less at the dealer. I think Chaparell has them for around $190 or so. I'll agree that the they are great tires. Sticky and real quick steering.
  13. Measure air gap from top of fork tube to oil with fork compressed and spring removed. You can go by the service manual or the spring manufacturer can provide a guideline also.
  14. You went 600 miles 'til your first oil change?
  15. Just because a tire has tread doesn't mean it's good. New Dunlop 218 has 5.5mm rear and 4mm front. Not much I'd say.
