  1. 102 kmiles on 02 here. Runs like a champ. Hugo
  2. Tested at 150+ with additional bungie cords, did not fly off. Hugo
  3. Yea....apparently he does not need the wheel that bad lol Already ordered one last week. Wrong timing:) Hugo
  4. holy shit there is no way in hell that can be ridden for very long. No way in hell, just a solid way to hell. Hugo
  5. After today's bumpy ride, I need a stock front wheel for an 02 bird. Anyone has a front wheel in good condition for sale? Thanks, Hugo
  6. Funny, how can they KNOW it needs the valve adjustment without checking? Uh? As for the valves never needing adjustment, I had 6 valves out of specs at the last visit (82k though). Hugo
  7. Thanks for the entertainment guys. Oh and yes I have an 02 XX, which proves to be the holy grail of them all. If you gear it tall enough, it will reach over 450 mph (going to 1 tooth in the rear, hillbilly type sprocket). Hugo
  8. 65k miles on the bike. Valve clearance checked and still within specs. Low tech Honda has its advantages. Hugo
  9. My bet is that the M3 will not last as much as the 46 does. I may go to 49/46 for summer time, depending on hoe the M3s behave. Hugo
  10. Bike: upgraded DK fork with Ohlins shock and TSR linkage (nose is really tilted down). Stock tire size. Reference points: BT 57 for 5kmiles, BT 010s for 15k miles, Avon 45/46 for 40k miles. OK, so I was headed towards M1 front/Z6 rear but it turned out that the M1 was missing at the time I needed it. Instead of going M3/Z6 (I am never experiementing with tires), I went with the M3 back an front Keep in mind three things: -I have been riding 45/46s forever and therefore they are my reference, because I am so used to them. -I have put 170 miles on the tires, so it really is a first impression thing -None of these miles were spirited, coz the roads are still wet at times and I am not stupid (I wish). I had a gripe with the 45/46 and that was their wet traction. I have spun the rear more times than I care to remember (always on questionable surfaces but still). The M3s have PLENTY of grip, they offer more feedback, feel VERY planted on the angle (a little bit like the 010s, but more solid), you really feel confident about screwing around when leaned over (adjust this, adjust that, move your ass a little, grab a little brakes, etc.) but it comes at a price: they really fall in slowly. OK maybe it is not that bad but you have to work them so much harder than the 45/46 that it certainly feels like you have to adjust. On the plus side though, you do get to apply some significant power on those ‘misty’ roads where the 45/46 would just give up fairly easily. Keep in mind that with yesterday’s weather, I would run 36/38 with the Avons and I was running 38/40 with the M3s. Warm up time is pretty much the same as with the 45/46. More, as soon as I get more ‘saddle time’.
  11. From what you are describing, your bike is fine. FI XXs run hotter. Hugo
  12. IMHO, the time you spend cleaning should be spent RIDING Hugo
  13. Same technique here. 20kmiles on average. Hugo
  14. Savannah Deep? Sounds like a porn flix to me! Hugo Edit: more like a porn star name, come to think about it.
  15. here is how I wear them: :surrender: Hugo
  16. I went through at least 3 front/6 rears of Avons and never has the deceleration wobble. Hugo

    Overheating

    My 02 never goes above 235 EVER and, these days, it has not been past 230 for over a year. Regardless of the oil I run. Stock CA model (with O2 sensor). Hugo
  18. 20-30k miles later and a fair amount of walking, they still squeak but I believe that can be corrected (using silicone?). But I don't care, the fit has not changed and they hold on well. Hugo
  19. Street shoes-> 10.5 Sidi Vertebrae-> 10.5 Hugo
