Tjvulvula
Any recommendations for which type of adhesive to use when installing new grips? Thanks.

matey_peeps
There are commercially available products, which work fine, and then there's the products you probably have laying around the house. Hairspray Brake Cleaner Rubbing Alcohol Gasoline Contact Cleaner Liquid Electrical Tape Spray/coat the inside of the grips with whatever you choose to use, then, working quickly, slide the grips into place before the liquid evaporates or has a chance to get tacky. Let dry for a couple hours or overnight if it's cold. Viola, grips stuck in place.
voodooxx
go to your local bike/atv shop. if you ask they probably have a display with mini tubes of the grip glue. just enough to do 1 or 2 sets of grips. costs only a buck or two. porterb123
Use nothing. I take a small phillips screw driver and put the blade inside the grip and just rotate it around the bar as you slide the grip on...works every time. If there is no oil or grease under the grip it'll stay put with no adhesive. But I've heard hairspray does work well. PLB
jcrich
The directions that came with the Pro Grip 714s said to use water, they have never moved, with the exception of using the Canyon Dancer with out something over the grip ( once)
xrated
A couple of drops of dish washing liquid (you may have to ask your wife what that is) inside each grip. Don't over do it here. Makes them easy to slide on too. Let it set for 24 hrs and it's done.
JB4XX
Make sure the harspray your wide uses does not contain styling gel  Cleaned them out two days later and used generic Aquanet...works great and makes for a fun flamethrower!
Pete in PA
Brake cleaner or contact cleaner. Work the red tube up between the bar and grip, spray, work up higher, spray, start twisting and old grip comes right off. Clean off ALL old adhesive on bars, shoot some brake cleaner in the grip and slip on while dripping. once dry it won't move.
