ncblkbrd1100xx
I would take it to one of those paintless repair places. They fixed one on my Dad's car and the result was amazing!
bajjer9
i thought of that but then it occured to me because its a gas tank they wouldnt be able to get to the other side of the dent obviously...I have heard of using compressed air to pressurize the tank and pop the dent out as well as using ice one a hot day (and lately it has been HOT)...anyone ever use either of these methods? Rider99XX
I've heard of using compressed air. I'd be worried that it might try to straighten out all the curves in the tank. Might end up with a beachball for a tank  BUT, that might give you increased tank capacity :poke:

FiXXation
I've seen a dent in the tank of a 2000 Blackbird that was fixed by a paintless dent repair place that uses the metal picks. You can not tell it was ever dented. He had picks already shaped to work on motorcycle tanks. Results would depend on the skill of the repairman, though. LenNSXX
Someone suggested using the dry ice method to me as well. Put the Dry ice on the dented portion to the point of it frosting over, then take the bike into the direct sunlight. This would cause that section of the tank to expand rapidly and pop out the dent. (As long as there wasn't a severe crease) Never tried it though. I just put on a tank bra.
BIG BOY
put a sticker over it.
LenNSXX
Ever seen it done? If directed at me. The ice thing no. I couldn't find dry ice close by, so I never tried it. I don't know if it would effect the paint or not. Again, it was suggested and explained by a few different people to me. YMMV
ncblkbrd1100xx
On a non.creased dent they can use a suction cup to pull them out. Or ever seen that glue on thing sold on TV. That is what the paintless shops also use. look here: http://pa.essortment.com/howtofixbody_rjmc.htm
