SwampNut
Moriah has had pretty annoying perimenopause symptoms for a while. The typical treatments have a lot of side effects and risk, so doctors reserve them for severe problems. Hers "only" kept her from sleeping comfortably, and lots of other annoying but not severe effects. Dave's "I don't want to be my own pharmacist" posts finally kicked my ass into realizing that I should be. I don't know why I resisted it; fear I guess. A very paralyzing emotion. I spent a LOT of hours studying the existing treatments and the mechanisms. And how safe peptides could mimic these mechanisms without the risk and side effects. There are lots of things in our bodies that signal things, and make things happen. In this case obviously there are hormone issues; the common treatments involve replacing them with like substances. But...what about just using hormone secretagogues and peptides that just signal the body to do what it's supposed to do? Why is this not a thing? It's exactly how the common diabetes and weight loss peptides work. So...I came up with a secret blend of 27 herbs and spices. Or maybe just 1mg Tesamorelin with 125mcg of Mod GRF 1-29 (also incorrectly but more commonly called CJC-1295 no DAC). This worked immediately. The side effects are great sleep and waking up feeling better, without the night sweats, hot flashes, or any other symptoms. It's a light switch; just turns off the problem. Tesamorelin is FDA approved at 2mg, and tested to far beyond that with great safety. There are nearly no potential side effects other than removing some belly fat (lol, but seriously). So at half the approved dose has extremely low risk, while the "normal" treatments are high risk. Mod GRF has been used for decades and also has an extremely low risk/side effects. It's very commonly used instead of direct HRT, because again, safer. One of my friends is already using it for that purpose under his doctor's advice and care. Unfortunately since I doubted myself I didn't plan well enough to have much of the peptide supply on hand, and we ran out, and last night she had very fucked up sleep and was fully awake at 4:30 plus uncomfortably cold and sweaty (AC at 77, not cold). My be-your-own-pharmacist kit from China is currently near, so we should have this very soon. Meanwhile, I'm having her dabble with just plain hGH Fragment 176-191 which also is a GH secretagogue and very safe, but don't expect the same results. Next up: Helping someone with spinal disc issues using GHK-Cu and BPC-157. Also well known, even to the point that you can get them on Amazon (but at a HUGE markup). SwampNut
Oh, I forgot a common question everyone asks about this. You're sticking Chinese shit in your body???!?!?!? Big pharma isn't required to provide testing results and statistics; yet you still trust them? The Chinese vendors provide a test certificate for all of the products, which is done on the US, right in Tucson. I've been to the lab. I can independently verify it because they include a serial number/passcode that can be put into the test lab's own web site to verify. It's actually more transparent than "approved" products. tomek
Chinese test certificates are totally legit. Always. You can be absolutely certain what was tested is what you are receiving. Edited August 22 by tomek
racer212
So as it happens - my friend Amy has been dealing with a lot of pre-menopause issues. She was talking to Natalie and I about it. I shared what you wrote. Shes got so many other health concerns shes afraid to mess with any of it.

I just got off a video call with someone on Reddit about this. Her symptoms are so severe, anything is worth it, and tesa is so very low risk. If your friend ever wants to talk to Moriah/me/both, let me know. Right now, Moriah is doing tesamorelin only, and it seems to be a 98% solution, but without the sleep benefits of Mod GRF. Small changes to her medications can cause Lupus flares which take her out of work for weeks and months.
SwampNut
That's just too much of a fragile ecosystem to experiment with, for sure. What a shit sandwich, to have a rare and barely understood disease, that makes it hard to treat other normal day to day problems. A friend was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's while he also has osteoporosis, and is finding that there aren't solid answers, just things to try. Some have horrible side effects. Nobody knows how the two diseases and the treatments interact with each other, and how to not fuck him on PD with the osteoporosis drugs, etc.
