  1. So I'm not alone... Speedy do you read this ?! Cheers,
  2. I'm back from the Americade, looked at the rear tire and I'm impressed how well they are holding this time. Unless I'm wrong in my calculations, I have about 5.5 - 6K on this set, and there is no squaring off and no exccessive wear ! Much better than the previous two sets I had. I know that few people complained about the Roads slipping. I installed the Roads just before the Tennesse meet in April. They didn't skip a bit, not once. For this trip to NY I inflated the tires a bit higher, to 41F/42R PSI.... And I didn't like it ! The bike didn't feel as good and it steped out few times :? On my way back I made sure the preassure is back to 38F/40R and I liked it much better. Just thought I'd throw this in here. Maybe the Roads loose their grip when there is a bit more air in them, although I don't know how much difference 2 PSI can make..... Cheers,

    Parts

When you buy the cap, it comes with the seal. The separate part# for the seal is there so you can buy just that, without the cap.... There are two radiators listed, and I belive the carbed and FI bikes varry here. The later number should be the newer radiator. I'go with the later cap number as well, for your '02 bike. Just for kicks, I checked with my dealer and the second part # is for the FI 'Birds, from '99 on.... So you want the 19045-MY3-621 part..... Cheers,
  4. Never mind, I found the answer.... http://www.yuasabatteries.com/search.asp Battery Family: Maintenance Free Battery Type: YTX12-BS Voltage: 12 Capacity: 10 Dimensions: 6" x 3.4375" x 5.125" Weight: 7.5lbs. Metric Dimensions: 150mm x 87mm x 130mm Metric Weight: 3.4kg Polarity: Acid Volume: 0.6 Amps: 1.2 C.C.A.: 180 Battery Family: YTZ Factory Activated, Maintenance Free Battery Type: YTZ12S Voltage: 12 Capacity: 11 Dimensions: 6" x 3 7/16" x 4 3/8" Weight: 8.1lbs. Metric Dimensions: 150mm x 87mm x 110mm Metric Weight: 3.7kg Polarity: Acid Volume: N/A Amps: 1.1 C.C.A.: 210 And the YTZ appeared in '01..... But is it twice as good ? Cheers,
  5. I'm having some low state of my battery so I thought I'd check the prices on the replacement (this one is only 2 years old I think ) and I looked at Ron Ayers page. They list the YTX-12BS battery that I have and the YTZ-12S, which is twice as expensive ! Any idea what the difference is ? Are they equipped on the newer bikes ? Mine is the '99..... Cheers,
  6. Buy from Dennis Kirk ! They will charge you $1 less than an advertissed price. In case of South-West that includes shipping too !!!! (DK figures their $1 off program based on the price of the tire plus shipping !). Travel time to you should be quicker from DK than S-W as well....... Cheers,
  7. AZITPRO, before you install the lines, line them up in proper places, make sure which end goes where, use the blue blocks to twist banjos if neccessary and check WARCHILD's instructions !!!! Much better than the factory. Oh yeah, invite Tim to help you ! 8) Good luck,
  8. Ruhi, I feel your pain with the whole situation.... I'm sorry shit like that happens. I guess I'm lucky I had Tim to help me - two heads work better than one, and maybe I'm more lucky than you... (not rubbing in here !!!) As I said before, I have only one line that could be a bit shorter (but it will make the rear wheel removal/caliper removal much eassier !) and the crossover line over the front fender twisted a bit when torqued, but other than that, with couple of tries, the kit seems to fit right. I hope that Spiegler USA will step up and make it right. BTW guys (not that this is any excuse !), but we paid about half of the MSRP for the kit...... I'm surprissed about the fitting/color problems, because they've offered the kit for couple of years now and they should have it diled in by now. Unless no one bought it before..... Good luck Ruhi and others. Hope you'll ride soon...... Cheers, P.S. BTW, Tim and I had more problems to find the right brake fluid. Granted, we did it in the last (WRONG TIME !) moment, but we visited 7 or 8 places, before we found some.... I thought I left the comunist Poland long time ago........
  9. Here are photos of my kit and Tim's install.... http://www.cbr1100xxforums.org/photos/inde...x.php?cat=10085 All lines and fittings are blck (except for the one block), but in my opinion the bolts are to soft. You use a wrench on them couple of times and they will show it... Cheers,
  10. Matey, if you compare your photo to Dale's, you can see that your lines are reversed.... There were few lines, that Tim and I had to unbolt and switch ends... The instructions suck and don't tell you which end goes where. We didn't have to grind anything.... Sorry to hear about your problems. I'm afraid, that maybe because of the volume of orders, Spiegler rushed their production a bit. Hope you can sort it out..... Cheers,
  11. And Tim is DA MAN ! 8) Thanks Tim !!! I agree, line #2 (I think) is to long and the clutch line could be a bit longer, but it worked... Now can't tell you how the whole set works, because around Midnight, when we were seriously worn out, putting the bike together - on the last panel, where my jastek plug is, and couple switches for the heated grips and hazard lights - the headlight blew and the battery died ! I shorted something, so have to go back today.... I actually did that on purpose, to ride Tim's bike home.... Hope the rest of you have better experience.... BTW, Warchild's installation was verry helpfull, but he missed couple of crucial photos.....  Thanks Dale ! Cheers,
  12. Yep, what he said..... And you don't need to buy any extras when you buy the cowl..... Sorry to hear about your fall...... Good luck ! 8) http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/200_0351/low...580&parent=5570 Cheers,
  13. The squeeky noise can be eliminated with a bit of silicone lube.... Sweet avatar, BTW ! 8) Cheers,
  14. Here is the closest dealer to you.... http://www.motonation.com/dealersearch.asp Also check the main Motonation page for sizing and help..... I think that New Enough would be helpful too... http://newenough.com/product_group_boots_sidi.htm Good luck,
  15. I run mine through the Autocom and it's loud enough (not even on the highest setting !)without any amplifier (which I can't say about my MP3 !).... It's actually to loud without earplugs.... I keep both, the radio and the antenna in my tank bag. The reception (with few exceptions) is great, better than in my car with the FM modulator.... One thing I can't do on the move, is go up and down the scale.... have to manually punch in the station. I like it a lot. 8) Cheers,
  16. GIVI sucks - SELL IT !!!!!!!
  17. My experience is similiar to jbowen4's... I'm on the third set now. Cheers,

  21. Looking to improve the hands position /reach on your XX ? Thanks to Arnold and MarcB, you can see very cool series of photos with optional bars. Check it out..... and let it fully load up ! The difference between OEM , V-Tec VFR and Vario bars..... http://bb.superblackbird.info/viewtopic.php?t=95 Cheers, P.S. Ooops ! I see that Joe and Warchild were already there..... Is this a repost ?!....
  22. It glows or it blinks ????? If it glows, you either have a bad ground, or your harness shorts with the frame. Known issue for '99/'00 'Bird.... Read here... this shows where the problem is... scroll down ! http://www.sport-touring.net/cgi-bin/msgbo...0;entry258221 read here too.... http://cbr.geckobox.net/forum/viewtopic.ph...hlight=fi+light http://cbr.geckobox.net/forum/viewtopic.ph...hlight=fi+light http://cbr.geckobox.net/forum/viewtopic.ph...hlight=fi+light http://cbr.geckobox.net/forum/viewtopic.ph...p?p=93998#93998 Good luck ! 8)
  23. ...TWO green dots ! Cheers,
  24. Just don't buy the Electrex, right Dale ? Cheers,
  25. I'm on my 3th set of Roads. I put 38/41 ...and they've lasted about 9K. Sweet spot for not getting the flat middle ? Definatelly not Chicago ! If I lived near Shady Valley, my tires would have even wear from edge to edge, like almost every single bike I saw there.... 8) Cheers,
