  1. That same thing happened to my Chevy. I didn't know shit(and still don't), so when a older and wiser friend told me to whap on it with a wrench, I thought he was phuct. It worked...
  2. Are you positive that its vibrating? or is it possible that you are just not used to the feel of a much firmer seat?
  3. I just filled the XX up with it, so I'm hoping I done good. Always been one for trying new things. I've used Castrol GPS since I bought the bird last year, so I figured it was time to try something new. Anyone have any experience with it?
  4. Better midrange with your F4!?!? Thats just WRONG! :wtf: Sorry, I have no advice.
  5. I apologize in advance, but I'm crunched for time today, so I can't do the search and read thing. I'm going to get a R1 reg/rec for my '99 XX. It has about 22,000 miles on it, so it sounds like its due. Can I order a current R1 reg/rec for my bike? Or do I need to get a later model?
  6. I think your bird is trying to tell you something... ...GO FASTER!
  7. I'm sure I could search for it, but I like taking photos more. I bought my '99 XX late last year. Is this thing stock, or has it been replaced already? Am I even talking about the right part here? Help.
  8. Thanks for the feedback. The bike has 42,XXX miles on it. When I got it 3 seasons ago, it had just over 18,000, but the carbs were taken out and cleaned as well as they could be. Until I got the XX last year, this bike was my only source of transportation for 8 months a year for those 3 years. It has seen the ugly side of the pavement on numerous occasions(not all me). I'm not sure if this helps, but this thing has seen any and all weather on a regular basis. The power loss started to be noticeable about the middle of last summer. This was my first bike so I'm wondering...is this the normal amount of milage that carbs usually get before gooing up? I've winterized it every year as well as I know how. Again, thanks for the help. I just dropped another $350 on it 2 weeks ago for new berings and suspension up front, so whatever it takes. I have a deep emotional attachment to this bike and I don't want to let it go. I'm totally aware that that is probably the gayest thing that you have read all day.
  9. First off, this has nothing to do with my XX. My '94 F2 has recently developed a noticeable power deficiency when you crack the throttle from both idle and also in first gear. It just kind of hesitates at first...and then delivers the power that it always has throughout the rest of the gears. I do my own basic maintenance, but usually leave the deeper shit to the pros. Where might this fall?

    Chain Life

If your chain snaps off and goes through the windshield of the car behind you, you need a new chain.
  11. I read about this before, but I'm nervous. I don't want to scrape the pegs any more than I already do-and that ain't much. It unnerves me. Don't the Buell pegs cause you to spark shit more often? or is my geometry just that bad? If thats the only option, then I guess I might take it and get used to it. Otherwise, I was also looking at those 2 seat covers that Aerostich sells. I'd be higher, which I don't want, but its a cheap experiment. Plus, they will inevitabley make the seat wider. I don't fucking know...
  12. The stock seat on my '99 XX is fine around town, but on trips it actually makes the FRONT of my hips hurt, bad. I am 6'2 and pretty thin, and apparently my ass just wasn't made for that seat. Anyway, I've had good luck with a Corbin before, but I can't stand the thought of losing even a fraction of an inch in the seat height. So, I need a slightly wider seat that maintains the same height. Can you help?
  13. The Apple ipod earbuds work extremely comfortably under any helmet. I have speakers installed in my lid, but I've been using them instead because they tend to sound a little better than my helmet's, and they go with me.
  14. OK, my french is a little weak(actually, i don't know any), but are the two prices for slip-ons and a full system? Low mount and high mount? What. Also, does anyone know what that figure means in our money?
