  1. Are you saying that your 8100 is the same as the 8981 and you paid $575 for it ?! I told you I'm easilly confused  Cheers,
  2. Does the 8100 series come with the remote reservoir ? I'm easy confused  ..... I found here http://www.traxxion.com/store/detail.asp?p...roduct_id=SPORT the description, that puzzles me. Is 8900 and 8100 the same just with the reservoir ??? The 8900 series doesn't have it , right ?! I was thinking of the 8981 series (previous treads....) but the 8100 is less money... What would I loose with the 8100 series, comparing to the 8981 ? TIA. Cheers,
  3. Have you seen this add ? http://www.cbr1100xx.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6653 They may still be on for sale..... If I only had money  Cheers,
  4. The "Roadbike" magazine ( http://www.roadbikemag.com/ ) just had a review of this pump and they were quite satisfied. Does anyone have it ? How does it really perform ?! http://www.minifootpump.com/ Cheers,
  5. You can use various degreesers, as long as they are not harmfull to rubber. Tsubaki even recommends the WD40...... Use an old toothbrush, works good for me. If you only lube the chain, the mess is just building up. And look for the best ballance in the chain lube, between to easy to fly off and to sticky ! http://www.sportrider.com/tech/146_0208_geek/ Cheers,
  6. This one is not really a "VFR board", but they sure dominate there.... http://www.sport-touring.net/ Cheers,
  7. If they ar set the same as MIG, then you'd have to make up for 3" difference. Either pipes more in or the rack more out... I checked between my and Jerry's bike.... :???: Cheers,
  8. Hi, the distance between the frames (L & R) of the Wingrack is 17.5 in. You probably could use spacers to make it 18". The rack mounts to the passenger footpeg/pipe mount, so it has to stay ! So what's the distance from the outside of the left pipe to the outside of the right pipe ? Cheers,
  9. Nor you'd have to remove any bodywork....
  10. They are OEM parts.

    Clunk?

I've heard about the air ducts hitting the inside of the cowl sometimes. Check there and tuck some foam there if they rattle.... Cheers,
  13. Here is one from Arnold's website ( http://www.superblackbird.info/ ) Cheers,
  14. Yep, Chester didn't specify he was talking turnsignals.... I meant the tail/brakelight !!! Miscommunication.... Cheers,
  15. You have the '02 XX, right ? The 1157 is a wrong bulb for your bike !!! From '99 on the bike takes all glass bulbs, 7440 or 7443 in the auto parts store.... This is true when we are talking brake/tail light bulbs :!: Cheers,
  16. Just looked here.... http://www.streetfighters-usa.com/blueflame.htm Scroll down  Oh, and click on the "photo" link too.... Check here too... http://www.exoticsportbike.com/wolf_exhaust.htm Cheers,
  17. Then don't crash it ! .... Happy New Year... Cheers,
  18. When you flip the switch on the grips, can you see any change in the output of the headlight, other words can you see more load on the brightness of the light ? You should. I tapped to the instrument light's wire for power. You should feel the heat quite soon. Of course unless you isolated the left bar, it won't feel as warm as the right one at first. I used some aluminum tape from an auto store, to reflect the heat out of the handlebar..... Hope you can fix your problem. Heated grips rock ! Cheers,
  19. I just found that Best Buy carries aoutomotive bulbs in their auto - stereo section !!! They carry H7 as well. What they had were the "xenon" OPTX bulbs, made by Streetglow. The package states "Xenon white HID" .... They are 70 watt, with blue glass and are $21.99 for a pair ! Has anyone had any experiance with them ???? Their website is www.optxbystreetglow.com Cheers,
  20. I wired mine to the instrument lights for power (this way they are on only when the bike is running) and I grounded the circuit to the frame. Right now to the bolt that holds the horn, but I want to change it.... Cheers,
  21. Hi Mike, great to hear from you and thanks for your message. In the main menu you can find a link to the "sales floor" which explaines the vendor participation. People you want to talk to are Carlos (SwaampNut) and Joe (rockmeupto125), who might contacted you by now.... There are two taillights on XX. One for '97/'98 models and one for '99-'03. Here is the first one And here is the new one Here you can see what's behind the lenses... http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/200_0351/tai...FTOKEN=27435842 http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/200_0351/tai...light_99_03.cfm There is a separate light that iluminates the plate, but I don't think anyone here would be concerned about that   Cheers,
  22. Bluebird, thank you very much ! Awesome  The Sun factor is not an issue. I'm changing all the panels. Either that or I get some custom paint job. But mor likely a new body. I already bought the upper fairing. BTW, the R101 CU is the color code for the Candy Glory Red, color for the '01 XX in US, and '99 (for sure !) in Canada. I used to work in couple Honda dealerships... Color-Rite ( http://www.color-rite.com/ ) uses the same paint code... and HONDA has few diffent Candy Red colors themselve. Here are the paint codes for XX throught the years (in US !) '97/'98/'99 - NH 359 Mute Black Metalic '00 - YR 183 Titanium Metalic '01 - R 101 CU Candy Glory Red '02 - NH 146 M Accurate Silver '03 - NH 463 Darkness Black Metalic Apparently the '01/'02 red color in Canada is not the R101CU :???: There are at least two sources in Canada I could use, that have prices much lower than these from your dealer. However the shipping charges would make up for the difference  One is in Alberta the other in Quebec. I'm in Chicago....Shipping on the upper was US$56 !!! So I'll have a friend of mine go to his local shop and see if they'd match  Thank you very much again for your help. Hopefuly I'll be able to do something in return for you .... Cheers, P.S US '01 and Canadian part numbers are different for the fr. fender, tail section and R & L lowers, due to different stickers ! The tank , the upper (for sure !), the grabrail and the mirror housings should have the same part numbers.... :whogives:  ....
  23. I wanted to make it easier on my friend who's going to shop for me in Canada, and thought to ask our Canadian friends .... I'm looking for the part numbers for the fr. fender, tail section, left and right fairings for the '99 XX , in the Candy Red color - paint code R101CU. They have to match the upper fairing with the p# 64230-MAT-D00ZF. Can anyone help ? I bought some decalls in Canada before, and unfortunatelly parts guys in my friend's local shop are morons  I had to order them three times...they f-up twice ordering wrong stuff  The part numbers listed on the Dynamo page are for the new red ('01/'02), I think.... :???: TIA. Cheers,
  24. I'd second Jim. Call the Honda rep again and tell him that you are not so confident that such "confused" dealer can do a good job rebuilding the engine! I asume there are better shops around.... :???: Cheers,
