    Brake pads

Galfer GREENS! they rock. i am totally impressed. easy on rotors too. plus i trashed the LBS. i am a control freak, and after 20 years of sport bikin, i trust my ability to properly use brakes.
  2. i am usin galfer greens. i totally pleased with the cold grip as well as hot. they smell a little durin hard use. i like the easy on rotor application though.
  3. i wrapped mine in '02, right after i bought it new. i also put on some yoshi slip ons. i did notice it to be cooler between the legs. i did not notice any performance increase or decrease. after two years there have been no disadvantages and only cooler legs. some one wrote about disconnecting the air injection. i would be a littler concerned about the effect on the O2 sensor readings. i wonder if it would give it incorrect readings and therefore cause the ECM to miscalculate. i did disconect this system on my GPz1100, it was FI but it had no O2 sensor either.
  4. I removed my LBS about a year ago with the 321...i guess after riding sport bikes since they were invented (sorry, 1984 gpz750turbo), i just couldn't stand not being able to differentiate brake bias. i think if you are a experienced rider you'll be happier with out LBS. if your a newbie, you probably wont appreciate the control factor.
  5. TAKE YOUR TIME! i am assuming you are gettin rid of the linked brake system. i did. the only problem i had was two of the front caliper bleeder screws leaked and i had to replace them with new ones. other than that i no problems.

    Clunk?

Update.....I was inspecting the front end again and to my complete disbelief i discovered that the right front brake caliper was LOOSE! I have had the bike since new and have never touched the brakes. so i cannot even begin to explain this. anyways, I torqued the bolts back down and now the clunck is gone. Needless to say i spent the rest of the afternoon going over every nut and bolt i could get a torque wrench onto.

    Clunk?

Hello all. Has anyone else experienced a clunk in the front end when going over bumps. I have done the steering head inspection as outlined in the factory manual and passes the test. I have also checked to see if something is loose. No luck there either. I am begining to wonder if the front forks are low on fluid from the factory and thier is an air gap in the damper. Any ideas?
  8. Thanks, i am still waiting for the new ones to arrive.
  9. Has anyone had a a problem with the front caliper bleeder screws leaking after bleeding the brakes. i can't stop the two of the bleeder from leakin. They don't leak much, just enough to get wet and make the caliper wet over night. i have ordered new bleed screws and hope this cures it. otherwise i guess its goin to be new caliper assy.

    slip-ons

I put a set of yoshimuras and love them, i little deeper sound. very good lookin.
  11. You're right, just checked, 18 teeth in the front. One up from stock. It barely fits under the cover.
  12. Hello all, i replaced the stock front with a larger sproket, (16) i think. Got it from a local bike shop thru lockhart/phillips. It is noisier than the rubber insulated stocker. I went larger cause all i do is freeway miles and it brought the RPMs down a little and increased the MPGs a couple of miles. I don't even notice it in town or in the twisties. Just my two cents worth.
