  1. Cleaning out the attic. I have an OEM 2003 seat and a set of aftermarket extended pegs for the bird. If there is any interest I will post up pictures. service Manual on CD $5 plus shipping OEM filter $5 plus shipping sold foot pegs $50 plus shipping sold seat $50 plus shipping. sold speed corrector $50 plus shipping tank protector $5 plus shipping sold
  2. My OEM fluid had also changed quickly. I bought the brake bleeding kit and changed the fluid myself using the 5.1 DOT fluid. I now have 9k+ and the discoloration is minimal to the clutch fluid.
  3. I just bought the 276C and the new City Select software. I have most of Louisiana and Mississippi loaded on a 128 mb card and it is only using about 39mb. Though expensive it sure seems to be a nice unit so far.
  4. What about if the house is on a slab? When you are talking about the joists, would that refer to both the floor and ceiling joists? Thinking about it now I may need to verify where the pilings are under the slab before moving a loadbearing wall as that could put added weight on concrete that was not engineered for such. (that might lead the job to be benched until the house needs to be leveled). Dion, When I get around to deciding on where to move the walls I will shoot you a PM if you don't mind to look over a couple drawings to see what you think. Thanks Charles
  5. Alright...I have a couple questions about loadbearing walls. Are there any good books out there that discuss loadbearing walls? I understand the facts of maintaining the load if working on a wall like that. But how do you know if you have a two story and one of the walls in the lower section would be moved? Would I be better off getting a contractor in to do the work or is it not that complicated. I figure that while the kids are gone for the summer I may plan on rearrainging some of the walls in the house. Let me know what you guys think. Also, I want to build a new computer desk/tabletop. Just really looking for four legs and a top. I want a good sized top, probably 36x60. I have an old sears table saw, thought I might look at a planer and build it out of 1x6 or 1x8. I am sure I would need a jointer also to make sure the sides are flush. Does Harbor freight have some low cost semi quality items to get the job done?
  6. Even with the all the plastic removed the top is a PITA to get out. I guess other than needing those "woman's hands" you may want to practice some yoga before attempting getting anything larger than a stick in there. Maybe my arms are just a lot longer and don't have the bendable nature but it sure pained me to changed that top bulb.

    Speedo recal.

Damn, and now our top speed would be around 175. I guess if you get around some busas you could adjust your speedo to read +6% so than you could brag about getting almost 195 top speed out of your bike. Maybe this is the only way manufacturers can boast top speed numbers
  8. And here is the filter wrench that is similar to the one Carlos has posted in the Oil change section: Maybe Carlos will post a link to this item to help others. http://www.bigbikeparts.com/catalog_produc...filter%20wrench or at Honda Direct Line BIG-4201 $10.95 includes shipping http://www.hondadirectlineusa.com/stores/p...r=4&ID=86971307
  9. It's really too bad that they don't manufacture their jackets in tall sizes. I have looked at the jackets and the prices are very appealling, just not will to give up any dollars for a jacket that will not fit properly. Would have never thought too hard about the jeans, but I may have to take a second look at them. Thanks

    Speedo recal.

Just sent in my Paypal payment, noted that it is for a 1100xx so we will see what I get in.
  11. Mikey, How are you routing your cables? Are you routing only the CB/PTT under the tank and routing the main headset cable from under the seat? I have not reinstalled mine yet and just want to see how others have theirs installed. Thanks

Pace, Can you post which model you ordered? This might minimize questions to the vendor also. Thanks
  13. Well...after 6200 miles on my 2003 I started my bike last night and found that similar rattle even at idle. Luckily I already have the X11 CCT from Joe. I am actually thinking of using my warranty to it's fullest and might take the bike to the dealer and let them replace the CCT with the BB OEM product. Plus since I have an extended warranty maybe this will go out several times and Honda will get worn out with the amount of replacement units used. I will be going by the dealer this afternoon so we shall see what they have to say.
  14. Check out this web site: look at the 3m material for the tank protector. The 3m material is great and all three pieces only cost me approx. $20. It goes on with water/alcohol. Here is a link to the thread that i had started in the Pub section: http://www.cbr1100xx.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8305
  15. Stretch, Did you contact Corbin directly or go through a dealer? Did corbin charge extra for the seat changes? I am interested in purchasing one with similar changes. Thanks Charles
  16. TJ, One thing I have found with high/normal water consumption is that my allergies are not as prevelent and my sinuses are not as congested. I have noticed that when drinking more soft drinks and less water both issues seem to be worse.

    TJ

TJ/Nik, Thanks for the interesting reads. I had just ventured to these posts in the last few weeks and found them very interesting. I am not positive but I believe I may be Hypoglycemic, haven't made an appointment with the Doc yet to find out. I read some of the other posts about the Diabetes and I know that I have always felt better (headaches and shakes) after drinking Orange Juice. I had forgotten about the frozen concentrates until this post and will be looking for those at the grocery. Thanks again to everyone on the information in these posts.

    New Shed

I was thinking about buying a mill to manufacture my own set of rearsets, but I am not sure how much I would use the mill after that. Very impressive though.
  19. I currently have the Autocom system which I found is good quality, but expensive. Depending upon your cost requirements some of the others that I have seen are: http://www.tecstar.co.uk/comms/starcom1.htm http://www.challengermotors.co.nz/baehr/baehr.htm http://www.baehr.net/ http://www.bobscb.com/helmet_headsets/moto...dset_compat.htm And here is the US Autocom website. http://www.autocomamerica.com/index.asp I like the design of the StarCom unit, it seems to have better options for portability. Good Luck...
