    Patio Upgrade

My wife decided she wanted to turn the patio into a sun room...so i figured i could do it myself and save a few pennies PLUS do it EXACTLY how i want it...without further ado: The begining: My wifes Grand Pa helping out...he is 83...i took him to the local VFW for a beer and he was mad at me because i took him to a "honky tonk where there was nothing but old people" he actually does not like to be around old people....we took him to the senior center and he refuses to stay there to hang out while we are at work...but that is another story....back to the pics: I have MUCH respect for contractors now...after the tile portion which i just finished about 2 hours ago my knees and back are SHOT!...The neighbors have all been knocking at the door to ask who i got to do it for me....makes me feel good to say me...then the next question is can i help.....HELL NAW...my tools are at their disposal...and my advice....BUT that is some hard ass labor especially when you are doing it by yourself...i should be done in a few more days...not much left except to texture the drywall and paint it, and put boarder around the doors and tile...oh, and paint or brick the outer wall ( have not decided yet)...funny how much you can learn off the internet...
  6. i think i am gonna crack open a beer myself after that one....
  7. i have em'....love em'....but i paid over 1K for them so i better love them or else the thought of spending that kind of dough would make me sick...i left my bike out one night and it rained kind of hard and there was water on the inside of one...but the fit and finish are perfect...would i do it again...YES! but i might wait a little longer on some used ones off of e-bay...
  8. takes discipline trust me i know...lol..like the set up i wish i had a place like that to store mine...i incorporatated my daily beer intake into my 1500 calorie a day diet...seems to keep me at a steady average...since embarking upon this diet I have found that it was not the BEER that made me gain weight but my unhealthy eating habits that did the damage...I have gone from 173 (heavy for my size of 5'6) down to 157...my goal is to level it off at 150. I am going to stop calling it a diet, i now prefer to use the term eating healthier....
  9. so when are you gonna post the pics of you in a bathing suite chillin by the new pool...
  10. nice pool....how deep is it? looks huge...
  11. I have the MOTOcom...lol..i thought all the noise was because my unit was bad....i even toook it apart and resoldered every connection, still got a buzzing sound when the phone is hooked up, without the phone the sound in perfect. except like you said when you get up to speed and the wind cancels out your music ..although it did get a little better when i went from the ZG DBL BBL to the Airblade...what is this filter that you speak of?...here is my set up: Complete hook up: Components tucked away: Ready to hit the road:
  12. i am running d&d slip-on's, & a PCIII, with a generic map...i have no complaints at all about fuel mileage...as a matter of fact i get BETTER mileage now...but i am also running an airblade screen which may help out seeing as though it cuts down resistance a little (makes sense in my mind anyway). I also bought an air compressor so that I can check and fill my tires before EVERY ride now. every little thing helps when it comes to improving gas mileage IMO...
  13. nice...how much longer do you think it will take?
  14. seeing the word "cocked" got me all giddy too...
  15. ...yes that price was with rims on bike
  16. Be easy on me...considering the price of shipping added to the price of mounting...did i get ripped off by paying 350.00 for a set of pilot roads from the "friendly neighborhood steeler" today...my dumb ass forgot to check the tire pressure before i took a group of soldiers on a long ride through central TX, as a result BOTH my front and rear tires were toast...seeing as though i did not want to wait a week etc etc blah blah blah, i decided to buy locally since as he put it...."mounting is free when you purchase your tires from us, if you bring in the tires we charge 60 a tire if still on the bike, or 30 per tire if you bring in the rims"...now that i have gone through the posts and check online, it seems as though they marked up the FUCKIN tire enough to cover mounting, creating the illusion that they are mounting them for free...damn i got scammed i think...but on the bright side I can hit the road bright and early on saturday...on a side note...the bike feels alot better with the pilots than with the OEM dunlops...WOW i was amazed it caught me off guard when i took my first corner after having the tires installed.
  17. I have the same set up and noticed a little more soot on my right side as well...not sure if you could manually tweek any of the PC functions and have that much of an impact...might as well break down and spend the money to have it dyno'd, that way you will know for sure it was done correctly.
  18. I installed the PC3usb yesterday and IMMEDIATLY noticed the difference, I even downloaded the "accelerator pump" software and am really satisfied with the improvments. Although there is a carbon build up which means it is burning rich. I was under the impression when a bike burns rich it is being fed too much fuel...If that is the case, how did my mileage manage to improve? Prior to the PC3, my fuel light would start blinking at about the 150 mark, I am currently at the 164 mark and still have 2 bars...How is that possible if I am burning rich? Or do I just think I am burning rich? BTW I am set up for the slip-on and stock filter map. And on a side note, I switched from the ZG Double Bubble to the Airblade screen after reading some of the comments about the later, I am happy to announce that my helment no longer feels like it is being ripped off my head when i hit tripple digit numbers...

    New Garage

You should have told me the pics were NWS (Not WIFE SAFE) ...When she sees stuff like that, it makes her want to do home improvments...DAMN THAT IS NICE!
  20. I was THINKING about doing the whole shock upgrade thing (ohlins, wilber etc.). I was wondering if it is neccessary to perform the front spring upgrade as well to really notice a difference in the handling? What would I notice by just doing the rear instead of the front, or the front instead of the rear etc.? TIA
  21. yeah who doesn't know that the pulsor can be put in upside down...DUH...we were testin ya to see how long it would take you to finally figure it out... On the real, glad to see that you figured it out and shared the process...
