  1. Also check to see if your tire is out of round.
  2. Great looking bike.
  3. I still use the Mobil 1 15w50 no probs.
  4. Wally World still has the M1 15w50
  5. I don't have any problems hitting a false neutral. Bike now has 32k on it and has had M1 for most of its life. The Triumph has the motorcycle blend of M1 in it now but I think I'll change it to the regular stuff on the next change.
  6. Still using Mobil 1 15w50.
  7. Its a little pricey for a hunk of plastic but I like mine.
  8. Some notice a vibration in that range when the CCT lifter starts to go bad.
  9. A carbed XX seems to get a little better mileage than the fuelies do so the extra tank capacity is offset. YMMV
  10. Some of the Sprint guys have been using Metzler Z-6 with good results. I may try some of those the next go around. 212.90 from swmoto.

    Xenon bulbs

    +1 on the Silver Stars
  12. The Pilot Roads and Avons like to be run at 36-38psi.
  13. Avon 45/46st or the Pilot Roads seem to be the most popular choice. As far as mileage it seems that most get 5-8k out of a rear maybe twice that on a front. There are a few exceptions.

    Sea Foam

    A little extra won't hurt.
  15. Grip with your fore finger and thumb. This keeps you from resting all your weight on your palms. Raising the bars will give you almost as much as changing to other bars.
  16. If your XX is otherwise stock you might be able to shim the needles.
  17. We needed a tire thread. Its been awhile :stickpoke:

Bad Brads in Pawhuska mmmmmm You buying Jim??!! BTW there are some nice long straights near there if ya know what I mean
  19. I have four different screens and find the stock to be most comfortable. I ride with the balls of my feet on the pegs most of the time and grip the bars with my fore finger and thumb. I still have problems with my shoulders and hips after 5 hours on the bike. Its better than it used to be but I've accepted the fact that the XX just doesn't fit me that well and these are the things that I have to deal with.
  20. You can probably get by for a while with a 100watt bulb in the high beam but over time the extra heat and current will take its toll on the reflector and switch. Silver stars are a good replacement. They may not last as long as a standard H7 though.
  21. Sell It!!!
  22. On our way to Mega I put 42 front and rear in my Avons thinking that since I was loaded and runnin a lot of straights to get there it would help with wear. Stretch did the same with his Pilot Roads. As we started to get to some twisty stuff the bike felt very unstable, even my wife noticed it when we went over tar snakes and such. We were talking at a break and Strecth said his felt similar. So we both dropped air pressure by 2-3lbs and things felt back to normal for both of us. I never thought I would be one to notice slight changes in air pressure but after that it made a believer out of me. I'll sacrifice some tire wear to have the feel in the tires.
  23. Cam chain tensioner or lifter
  24. A two page thread on how to change oil
